Ok Jets fans, we need to talk about this seriously.
We all agree that Deshaun Watson is an elite QB for sure.
But I ask you this, forget Watson for 1 second, think about Dak Prescott.
Before his injury he was playing incredible and I'd argue he was at a near elite level last year.
Would anyone argue that Precott is better than Darnold too? I think not.
The reason I bring this up is because Justin Fields is somewhere between these 2 QBs.
He plays as if he is a bigger Deshaun Watson but his downside is probably Dak Prescott.
I notice everyone who was on the Kyle Wilson bandwagon wants Watson,
And if you want Watson, then you have NO EXCUSES for wanting Wilson over Fields at #2, because of how similarly Watson and Fields stack up to each other.
I'd prefer Watson over all, but if the price is too much, you have to go Fields at #2 and you maintain your picks too.
And judging by everyones desire to acquire Watson, deep down you know that Darnold and to a lesser extent Wilson are not the answer you are looking for.
Not what some of you want to hear, but it is, what it is.
There's your call out, bring it...

Lawrence would be exciting, but probably not attainable. Watson is also an exciting possibility.
Sam is so-so and it depends whether new management feels it can turn him around. If not, everyone else is a crapshoot.
If I had to pick a QB at #2, it would probably be Fields, depending on game film review, combine, etc., but I'd more likely try to trade down a couple of spots and pick whoever is left between Fields and Wilson.

Lol.....Dream on, the only thing Wilson has in common with Mahomes and Rodgers is that they are NFL QBs.
Wilson's range is being compared to the best of Ryan Tannehill and the worst of Kirk Cousins.
That incredible average expectations.
If you like Watson, then you know Fields is better, as are his expectations.

Dak: no thanks, I believe a large portion of his success is due to his supporting cast. He was having an outstanding year this year, but I believe he is a high mid tier QB
Wilson: don’t like what I’ve seen so far and not worthy of the #2
Fields: he can be Watson, but I think he has very high bust probability. If drafted, he should not be starting for 1+ year
Darnold: I believe we ruined him and his success in the NFL will be a mid tier QB with the right supporting cast
The #2 pick has tons of value. It’s worth Deshaun as long as it’s not bundled with much more.
Would you do this trade?
Mekhi Becton, Quinnen Williams, and Seattle’s #23 for Deshaun?
Interesting article on 49ers free agents, some of which could be targeted by Saleh

I am not a fan of Wilson.
I see wilson more as Rosen. I put him behind Lance, Trask and possibly Jones.
The fact that as of now, there is no consensus #2 qb, makes me want to trade back even more.
I think Fields, Wilson, Trask, Jones and Lance, are a crap shoot. I'd rather get more picks and still get one those guys.
I would argue that getting a third, first for next year, put them into a position to trade up for any game breaking player.
I am also not willing to give up more than #2, Sam and next years first , for Watson.
Build from within. I want Joe and. Saleh to stamp this team.
Ignorance is bliss
