He obviously still has instances when he doesn't see what he should and he also has instances where he loses his mechanics.

I've always felt that if football had a minor leagues, a lot of late bloomer types could go on to have stellar pro careers. Darnold, to me, would fall into that category.

I remember the old USFL. They signed a bunch of guys who were cut by the NFL, but after a couple of years in the USFL. they matured and when the league folded, went on to have nice NFL careers. Some guys just need more time to figure things out.

It's going to be very weird to see how amateur sports evolves. With so much money being spent on youth sports, camps, teams, travel teams, trainers and becoming one sport focused, I wonder if we see some dystopian type academies for athletes. Teams with school affiliations to preserve the machine of the NCAA but essentially trade schools for athletes that would allow for a national, minor league system in all sports.

Then again, I imagine many unusual things

He probably won’t play for a long time, it’s a very dolphins move

Jarrod Davis ready to come off IR and play.
Saleh said he'd be reinserted as starter, meaning Quincy Williams would be benched.

Obviously, Williams would still play in sub packages but I don't know about this.
I like the infectious energy Williams brings and he's one of the key reasons the defense has hung tough.

Btw this is no knock on Davis, as Davis is a pretty good player too.

What do you guys think about this....

Who knows what the coaches are seeing practice, but it seems like unless JD is a significant upgrade, we should continue to ride quincy’s amazing start to his jets career. Nonstop energy and a human hit-stick.

I am not a full on believer in, you can't lose your starting job to injury.
Drew Bledsoe lost his starting job to injury

I would rather see them work Davis back into things instead of putting him out there as the starter.
Quincy has shown to be a very good player.

With that said, is Quincy even. ore impactful when he comes in to wreak havoc? I have to believe he still sees a significant portion of the snaps.

Davis is good but Quincy has been so fun to watch and has made some fantastic plays. I wonder it they can get him in there to get more QB pressure

I believe in the " you ride the hot hand" tactic.

Quincy has been the hot hand on defense.

Unfortunately neither Williams or Davis are the coverage style LB that the converted Safety's are, so they pretty much handle the 3rd LB spot.

I just want him on the field, as much as possible, because there is something about him that ignites the team and the fanbase.

Maybe move Williams up to DE opposite JFM on occasion.
Could be interesting to see if he can bend the edge.

He 1 on 1 FLATTENED Derrick Henry.

Not many people get to tell that.

I was thinking about this yesterday, we don’t know what Davis is yet. We do however know what Williams is, he better be on that field.

When the hell did Mosley get hurt? He’s doubtful with a hamstring

Based on what we've seen out of Quincy Williams, you start understanding why Jacksonville sucks so bad. How could they let this guy slip out from under their nose. He was a third round pick only two years ago.

He's also been the best Williams on the Jets roster this season. Unfortunately.

I think the last game. It's been lingering. I would keep him out. It's not a need to win.

I also wonder if they would move him at the deadline?

    Needs to be said:

I like Saleh, but my biggest concern was that we have a rookie QB that was probably going to play right away, and said QB would benefit most from an offensive minded HC.

Therefore, Lafleur is drawing my ire as the offensive coordinator.
He doesn't seem to know how to approach a game with a gameplan.

He has shown he can make adjustments as a game gets going, but explain 0 1st qtr points.

I know its season 1 for him, but this team does not look prepared offensively when the game starts.
Not a good look for an OC.
