Or you can change your diaper, so you can stop *****ing for a couple months and give the guy a chance.

Don't worry, we know if he does suck, you will tell us you knew it. (Although it takes way more sack to bet on someone succeeding because the vast majority of the league, fails and their fans want the coaches gone)

Seems like a win-win. We get some aspect of positivity and you get to hold onto the "I told you so", card.

I really like the Keith Carter hire. I know the Titans fell off this year but their OL was really, really good in the previous seasons

The traditional pocket passer is dead unless you're Tom Brady who gets the ball out quickly and is able to read coverages to change his protections. That said, we saw Tom struggle without a juggernaut offense around him this year because he had no run game, no safety blanket in Gronkowski, and his offensive line was mediocre due to injury.

I think that's part of the reason why they dont have a ton of faith in Mike White. He's a prototypical pocket passer who isn't very mobile in the pocket in a league where you have to be. He doesnt have the arm talent to get away with being a statue back there. Not his fault.

I think that's why the Jets need to stay away from a guy like Jimmy G and need a guy who can at least move around in the pocket. I don't know where that exists though in terms of FA or potential trade candidates that are realistic gets.

I'm a Rodgers defender, admittedly even with his playoff struggles but if the Packers want two 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and a conditional pick, then I dont do that trade. Not when he's 39 years old coming off his worst statistical season and moving to a harder conference.

Agreed, I think this is an excellent, under the radar hire. As far as Hackett goes, we shall see. If he helps bring Rodgers here, then it's a great move, otherwise, I would have rather gone with one if the Eagles guys because I prefer their offensive style to what Hackett is going to run, but I'm not totally hating on them going with him.

Any player or anyone with a brain that saw the absolute trainwreck that was the Denver Broncos would want nothing to do with him. Players fighting and losing their minds on the sidelines. I would be completely turned off from coming here because of this guy if I was a FA. Russ a multi-time probowler and SB winner suddenly turned into Zach Wilson. Broncos were ranked last in points in the NFL with 15.5 a game under hackett..lowest since 1966. The last 2 games without Hackett they avg. 27.5pts, 389 yards and 3.5tds against chargers and chiefs and Russ looks back to normal. And hackett relieved himself from play calling in november and their points began to increase as a result to 19.5.

Why the hell would I root for this guy just because he's the jets OC? No thanks. Only positive is that this has sealed the fate of saleh and JD.

So you're saying that Rex Ryan knows nothing about defense because he wasn't a great HC.

Or better yet, you're saying Belichick could never become a great football mind because he FAILED miserably in his first opportunity as a HC.

I guess Pete Carroll never made it in football after he coached the Jets either.

Point being, Hackett has had more success than not as an OC.

I was excited for his hire. Obviously he did something good in Tennessee minus this past year

When was the last time you liked the coaches, GM and players?

For the bolded, seriously? Really? You are actively routing against a guy who will try and help the team?
I hated the Wilson pick but I certainly routed for him and held onto any positives that happened with the hope that he'd be the guy.

You're a troll or you are just miserable. It's that simple. Your root for no one on the team to do anything good. You want the failure of the team so they can start again? Brilliant. That way you can be miserable as you bish about the new hires, how much they suck and of course that you won't route for them.

    Jets fire Saleh and JD
Hets hire new GM and HC along with his new coaches
Moments after the ink dries from them signing their contracts, you start screaming, "they suck", and you hope they fail so the jets can start over

    Well done

I agree. I would have rather one of the guys who worked with Hurts.
I don't know how Hackett will be. I think it's a solid hire. I do wonder if it's more about keeping the west coast style offense?
The other side that we don't know is, maybe neither of those guys were interested?
My hope is that Carter and Hackett together can build a beast of a ground game and make life very easy, for any solid QB.

The Jets made it 100% clear, they wanted someone with experience.

The younger guys they interviewed were just them doing due diligence to see if any of them over-wowed them.

Aaron Rodgers contract should he be traded is very interesting.

Lets say the Jets traded for Rodgers:
Rodgers contract (unless reworked) would essentially be a 2yr deal worth $48m.

    Definitely manageable.

Wtf are you talking about? I have shown stats that the team played better when he stopped calling the plays and when other coaches took over play calling duty. This shows that he can't OC. And his previous success was due to Marrone and Lefluer. Not him.

Tell me in what ****ing world should a GM or anyone keep their job that is 13-37 since taking over. Drafted the worst QB 2nd overall who they suddenly claim has basic fundamental issues and is 2-16 in their own division. A GM who started the new season with a rookie HC, rookie OC and a rookie QB. Didn't have an actual vet QB that could start an entire season if needed while Zach learns. Then you have a HC who handled the entire situation terribly. Telling the world they keep receipts while they lose the last 6 games of a season and still can't beat the patriots 0-6 since he started. Why the **** wouldn't I want these people gone? Really??? But ok. I'm a troll. W/e you say clown.

And before MrX brings up the gold zone stats it's not like GB were slouches in the red zone before he was the OC.

    2014: 11th
    2015: 17th
    2016: 9th
    2017: 4th
    2018: 14th
    Hackett is OC
    2019: 2nd
    2020: 1st
2021: 18th (Same exact team and coaching personnel as 2020)

Hackett's ranks in yards per play and offensive touchdowns per game as an NFL offensive coordinator:

    2013: 29, 25
    2014: 29, 24
    2016 (interim OC): 26, 23
    2017: 11, 9
    2018: 30, 32
    GETS AARON RODGERS WITH LEFLEUR
    2019: 17, 11
    2020: 2, 1
    2021: 8, 7

Just go into any thread about this guy and see how the Broncos, Jags and Bills fans feel about him. And how GB fans know that it was mostly LeFleur and Rodgers that carried this guy. But I guess the 100s of thousands of fans are trolls and morons that don't know anything.
