Whatever happened to the people that laughed at me for saying the Jets should consider trading down to draft OLB/DE Montez Sweat?

Oddly enough, they were also the supporters of Adam Gase, Jordan Jenkins and called the Jets AFC East Championship contenders.

    So quiet now.
    Oh so quiet.

    The good this week:
    Giants won.
    Texans won (meh).

    The bad:
Would've preferred a Jaguars win over the texans.
The chargers can't buy a last second win.

    The ugly:
I know he's not in the division and will likely be in the playoffs, but watching Brady getting pummeled by New Orleans is a cheap thrill.

I can't believe how badly NO thrashed the Bucs. That was am amazing.
Also watching Adams can Carrol get into it was kind of fun to see.

I think they are in the same place as those who ripped me for saying last year that Carr, at that point in his career, was better than Sam. ( I believe I got the rolling on the ground emoticon).

I don't know why people are so surprised about Jamal Adams. If you look at the way Greg Williams used him last year as a blitzer, that is what Adams is. Plus, let's be honest with ourselves, when was the last time a safety was the key component to winning his team a Super Bowl?

I think when we look at the Jets, I don't think too many people had deep playoff run/Super Bowl aspirations with this team.

However, I don't think people expected the Jets to be THIS BAD (I.E.) HISTORICALLY BAD! When you looked at the Jets schedule before the season began, I don't think a lot of people predicted the Jets to be that much better than 2-6, MAYBE 3-5 to begin the first 8 games. I don't think anyone would have ever predicted 0-8 to start out the year.

    Bob Sanders.

But I must point out that most defenses don't have elite players like an Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Rod Woodson, Adams and Sanders type Safety.

There are some Safetys that are gamechangers when used correctly to their skills.

Ed Reed? Ronnie Lott? Polomalu? Dawkins?
I think they were all the reasons those Ds were so good against both the pass and run.

I agree that they are not often the centerpiece but I believe Adams could be one of those type players.
Seattles pass D stinks and Adams is not a great cover guy but he is a playmaker of exceptional skill and talent.

As a whole, this team had talent entering the year and then they were decimated by injury.
We still haven't seen the projected 1st string WR core together this year.

But watching this team being coached into oblivion is the most unbelievable part of the season.

This team had potential to be decently good or somewhat meh, but who projected this?
