I was saying within his own administration.

Trump spent most of his 2016 campaign and his 4 years as president bashing the **** out of the media. What did he expect?

Look, the media is no effigy of objectivity but he decided to start on the wrong foot with anyone not named Fox News and eventually NewsMax and OAN. He even turned on Fox News when they didn't create what he thought was the proper narrative for his presidency and didn't support him in overturning the election.

That bashing of the fourth pillar of democracy in flavor of a propagandist's news site is so very dangerous to democracy and is a tool of fascism. We have seen news reporters harass and beaten by police and now they are beginning to be targeted by the right with death threats and intimidation. Like with any trust, once broken it is hard to repair.

We have been heading in this direction for a long time with the rabid tribalism encourage by politicians so they can maintain power which was turbo-charged by Trump for his own personal gains. I just don't see a happy ending here.

What's funny is the media talking like airlines and airports don't ALREADY have mandates....inferring masks are a suggestion......in the 4 airports and airline I just spent time in during my trip, there was no 'suggesting'...airport and airline personnel were pretty staunch about not just having a mask on, but telling people when their nose was exposed and exhibiting authority to anyone showing any reluctance.
