People have been downplaying the antics of groups like the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers before the Capitol Building takeover and y'all still downplaying the threat these groups are. They all literally think this is a revolution, that the election was stolen and that they’re re-enacting 1776. The conspiracy theories of the far right have mainstreamed into the whole of the right. Yea I agree that we can’t project the crazies that did storm the capitol on everyone that voted for Trump... but there is certainly an issue that something like nearly half of republicans agreed with the storming and a similar amount believe that the election was actually stolen and Trump won.

Putting Cuba on the terrorist sponsor list is a ****in joke. With the only intention of drawing out the obvious plan to normalize relations with Cuba. You don’t have a choice at this point. You’re going to have an insurgency in the US akin to Iraq and Afghanistan either way. You honestly believe not impeaching him will cool things down? They’ll just focus on the inauguration then and do the same thing. We’ve spent over 4 years arguing with these people only to see them move the goalposts repeatedly.

And there’s not going to be a trial. They’re going to impeach him in the House and then hang onto it as insurance that he doesn’t do anything else more stupid. If they goto a trial then they are stupid too. It’ll tie up Biden’s agenda too which would be extra stupid considering there’s a 2 year window Dems have the Senate and House.

Now you are going over the cliff. We are going to have an insurgency here like in Iraq and Afghanistan? We aren't on Civil War footing here. No bloody raids across state lines. These people are still Americans and we should be building bridges instead of setting conflict lines. Get those checks out, vaccine giving, and let sweat out this pandemic before we start going into political fights. I am of the mind that anything that Pelosi wants to do isn't the right course. Get the pandemic in check and us back to normal before going after Trump. These damn politicians can find more bs to deter them from taking care of the people's business. Oh, his actions aren't being ignored, we have dropped everything else to focus on it on the 24/7 news cycle. The Russian hack, evictions, vaccine hiccups there are a lot to things flying under the radar now. Trump this, Trump that, the first lady did that, Trump hasn't spoken in four days to the press. I am sick of "Trump" all the time being the focal point of our attention. Let him leave office quietly, put his kids and son in law on trial for white-collar crimes. Heavily fines his resources. No secret services or Presidential retirement money can be decided before the year is out. Put him on Trial then when his knucklehead's attentions have moved on to something else like their personal rights not to wipe their arse on Tuesdays.
