Oddly enough Al Jazeerah does a pretty credible job as well. You would think they would be at least somewhat biased but their reporting has been very straightforward when I have watched it.

Newsy is okay, but I admit it has a slightly liberal bent to it.

Now we know how people felt under McCarthy in the 1950s with all the talk about the threat of America turning communist.

I don't understand why it has to be either extreme btw. The scare attempt rhetoric is always either embrace capitalism or we will become a socialist country. Apparently there is no room in there regulated capitalism and not bending over backwards for billion dollar lobbyists.

I don't understand why people are afraid of it. It's like being afraid of an iceberg living in Texas. America ain't going from worlds biggest fat **** consumers to socialists lol. There not privatizing all industry. Just like we aren't going door to door to get 500 million guns from red necks.

America is trying to lower the child poverty rate.

Meh well see in a month. Vaccinations will rise mandates will lift and the child tax credit will replace poor families income.

I'm going back to my old job after my 2nd vaccination in 2 weeks.

I disagree with this assessment, but religious discussions have their own place on the boards. This isn't it.

Huh? Someone is trying to make a claim that the Dems want to remove religion? A position that rightfully was mocked.

I disagree. Religion is very much a part of the American political landscape, and as such I believe it is fair game here, especially when a poster specifically identifies the loss of religion [his words, the removal of “the belief in the God from Government and schools”] as one of the stages of socialism.

It may be uncomfortable for some to be challenged by a discussion of religion vis a vis politics, but that does not mean it does not belong.

I say that there is no place for “the God” in government or in public schools.

75 BTC was used to pay the ransom. I'm pretty sure it's an inside job but if it wasn't, I've long stated that BTC was going to be a criminal's preferred payment option. Governments are going to find a way to start banning it in some form or fashion. India has already brought that up. Only a matter of time before the slow government realizes how disgusting BTC can get.

Hacking companies and institutions and ransoming their operations back to them is growing concern because they are occuring more often. We even have a defense and law enforcement agencies who work on these types of crimes.

I am a religious person and I agree. The country was created with the idea that they should be separate. If religion is about free will to follow the Lord's teaching, then it would be a mockery of that teaching to force people to follow religious belief, like outlawing abortion or saying prayers in school or teaching creationism. If we do, we are heading to the type of extreme religious state we diss the Islamist rule states for having.

In it's continuing effort to prioritize illegal immigrants over US citizens, the Biden administration transferred $850mm allocated for restocking and maintaining our woefully depleted emergency stockpiles to constructing shelters for those who cross our border illegally. Inexcusable!
