We all agreed that taking Hock at 8 was a horrible idea but he is starting to show signs why we drafted him. I would have preferred that we traded down and selected him.

Id like to assume we were not offered a high enough pick where we thought we could still get him.

They could have kept Ebron and Logan Thomas and drafted a lineman at 8. Imagine if BQ wasnt so awful at his job?

Oh I agree with you. I personally wanted us to take Ed Oliver who the Bills took right after us.

I liked Oliver too. That was such a Lions move. Kinda like cutting Slay then drafting his replacement with a top draft pick.

Or rather, that was the exact same thing lolol

Hock is good. Which is great. I can't complain about the position we picked him anymore . I'm just glad he's producing.

    Sure, why not?

Pass rush blows chunks so any help is appreciated. Until he is healthy scratched to line up one of our many RB's or slow LB's. of course.

Let's just put him at LB. Fix 2 problems by adding more.

Hock will be a legit TE, a jimmy graham, baby gronk type of guy. But I foresee that once hes elite, he will be due a HUGE contract that the lions will not want to pay and hell walk for virtual nothing.

Ugh. Why does this feel like it's the only possible result?

    that's why we're the Lions

draft TE high, either cut him before his rookie contract is up or cut him because we can't afford him

    more TEs please!

And fans were so happy too when they did that lolol

Same with when they got rid of Slay then wasted the #3 pick on his replacement.
