I read somewhere that creed is a better fit for our new offensive system than Landon

Creed or Landon doesn't matter which, but at #34, not #23.

    Wow. That's nuts.

Are you moving to North Carolina?

Just felt like doing an exercise with the draft chart.

Since the Ravens and the Chiefs are so eager to trade, I have a couple of trade down scenarios for the Jets. Points per the Johnson chart including adjustment for comp picks.

Assuming that they are both eager to move up to get a player to help their playoff run / drive to the Super Bowl:

Jets trade the #23 and #226 (761 points) to the Ravens for the #31, #94 and #136 (762 points)

Jets trade the #34, #154 and #186 (603.4 points) to the Chiefs for the #58, #63 and #207 (603 points)

In the first trade, we pick up a 3rd and a 4th and give up our later 6th to swap 1sts.

in the second trade we swap 2nds and 6ths and pick up another 2nd for a 5th

Net of both trades would be to pick up a 2nd, 3rd and 4th for a 5th and a 6th

Would do the first trade, not the second. First trade nets us another top-100 pick and a top-150 pick for dropping 8 spots and still getting that 5th year option for the pick. Second trade doesnít net enough value for that initial drop.

    Spot on..

I know tankathon not to be deemed top notch in terms of mocks..but they just did new one has

    Wilson
    Tucker
    Rousseau
    Javonte Williams
    Tremble

For first 4 rounds..that be pretty impressive..

Don't see javonte lasting til 3rd round but one can dream

Getting Tucker at 23 would be amazing. Most mocks have him much higher and going before Jenkins. Iím looking at that draft and i would take the lineman quinn Meinerz ahead of javonte Williams. Adding him and Tucker to Becton would hope fully be the foundation of a really strong line for years.

I wonder if the jets would use Seattle's first and Carolina's second to move into the first to have another pick.

I wouldnít be surprised to see the Jets trade Marcus Maye for draft picks. He didnít draft Maye and probably drafted ashtyn Davis with the idea that he would be the long term free safety. They also signed lamarcus Joyner who had his most success playing FS. So we may have our replacement already on the roster

Not saying I want to trade maye but if weíre not signing him long term itís probably best to trade him now coming off a great season. I doubt we get the return that we got for Adams but if we can get a first round pick + it may work out well.

I could see us packaging 86 and a 5th or 6th to get up a little higher in the 3rd to get the potential starter we may be worried wonít last till 86. 5 starters in the first 3 rounds would be big for Joe D..

Given that talking heads are thinking Fields might fall in the 1st, there is what I see as a potential dream scenario for the Jets. Trade down from 2 to a team that loves Wilson, then take Fields with lower pick or trade some draft capital to get back up to get Fields.
