Someone tweeted that he's a DT not OT.

Don't really know any of the defensive players we took, but I wanted each of the 4 offensive players we took. Finally building an offense for our young QB.

Great Draft. Love the first 4 picks and then addressed the DB weakness with a vengeance. I probably would have done it different at the end, but I'm OK with it, because Saleh relies on DBs in his defensive scheme and it will help us on special teams.

On a side note, one of my neighbors, Will Fries, got drafted by Indianapolis at 248. So that also makes this draft even cooler.

Sweet! He could easily make the team with his skillset and this offensive scheme

    I also saw

    S Brendan White, Rutgers
    OT Grant Hermanns, Purdue

I think Triston Hoge is a very interesting pick up. He's a versatile lineman that's 6'5" and 310 lbs, who was a center in high school and mostly a guard in college and protected Zack Wilson as a starter in 7 of the last 8 games of the season, after missing the first four with COVID and pneumonia. Definitely could be great depth, especially at guard.

I am shocked they got Rashed. That's an amazing pickup as a UFA. Some had him in the third round.

Hoge is a smart pickup. Nice comfort zone for Zack, even if he is only practice squad.

I also like the Ferguson pick. I love the pickups from military academies.

As mentioned, Yeboah is also a nice pickup

Interesting Draft Strategy by Douglas and Saleh

Hated losing the two third rounders, but, at the end of the day, Douglas wanted to insure he had two blocks of granite on the left side of the line for the next decade. Makes sense.

And, looking at the tapes, Moore and Carter are a couple of entertaining offensive weapons. Good for Douglas bringing them in and good for Wilson. The offense could end up being special in a year or two.

Fascinated by the drafting of all of those hybrid linebacker/safety/corners.
Those guys are all tweeners and fell on other draft boards, but Saleh looks like he's inventing a new Tweener Defense where the guys are all just big, strong and athletic enough to play the run, while really flooding the field with defensive backs. Jamal Adams would have been a real nice fit here.

The problem I see is that you need to mix things up on defense and having no impact edge rushers and no lockdown cover corners makes your defense one dimensional. With these guys you're forced into zone types of schemes.

Maybe next draft we get a top cover corner and top outside edge rusher to be able to add some diversity to the defensive schemes.

Anyway, you can't do everything in one draft and, considering that we don't have those two guys and weren't going to get them in this draft, Douglas and Saleh did the next best thing by drafting all of these hybrids.

What are the Jets doing at K? Running it back with the same options as last year would be a mistake
