Between injuries and underperformance, he was pretty much a bust at Hendrick. But he made a nice comeback for himself winning a couple races in the No. 32 car, including the greatest finish ever (imo). I always liked him, even if he was maybe a tad on the eccentric side.

agreed with pretty much everything you said, Hendrick was the curse of the 25 car(even though it wasnt 25 for1 year, same team though).... its going to take a lot to top that darlington finish

No John Hunter Nemechek in the 38, making the Cup Series a much safer place. Unless he gets another Cup ride.

    Why the dislike for JHN?

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

John Hunter Nemechek will drive full time and earn driver points in the Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 4 truck in 2021.

    Chase!

I'm surprised JHN is moving to the truck series. I think I called the 5 coming back but I thought they would "retire" the 48.

I think it makes sense for him. Hes linked with KB now and is in top notch equipment.

He probably will have a connect with JGR and maybe even possibly have a shot with 23xl racing as they're hoping to expand to more than 1 car in the future(not sure how strong the organization will be though)

Corey LaJoie will drive the Spire Motorsports No. 7 Cup car full time in 2021. Crew chief TBA. Team checked w/Tommy Baldwin about using number. Spire also closed on LFR purchase — and will move into that shop ... that once belonged to Alan Kulwicki (No. 7). #nascar @NASCARONFOX

NASCAR confirms Auto Club weekend canceled, moved to Daytona road course with Homestead truck race also to Daytona road course for Feb 19-21. Xfinity-Cup now at Homestead on Feb 27-28.

I know this isn't related to this thread but I didn't feel it deserved its own thread with the very limited discussion.
