I hope I am wrong. But if the Jets are in tank mode, they will use that as their reason for keeping him. "Adam was a team player and did what we asked"

But I love Gase! It's not his fault. He is only doing what he has to do and doesn't want to hurt us!

    Doh! ****! You're right!

Kinko is getting ahead of the curve, by giving himself false negativity.
This way he can't be disappointed by the Jets.
Also he's going to be shocked and elated once Gase is ousted.

I see you Kinko, well played.

The misuse of Bell or lack there of should be enough reasons to can the Gase. KC will show them what Bell [emoji931]can do what most RB can't.

I'm not sure if any of you saw College Game Day this morning, but they had a piece on Stanford's David Shaw and what he did for his brother. I don't know if he would be a good NFL coach or not, but I would hire that guy in a heartbeat!

With Trump now in lame duck status, it also means that Woody Johnson's tenure as ambassador is coming to an end, so he will most likely be in full control of the team upon completion of his term.

Do you guys have a preference between the 2 brothers as team controller?
(Yes, they worked together, but as the main man, who do you like better Woody or Chris)

Chris is less of a dick and at least pretends to let the actual football minds do their jobs.

I really hope they sell. I know, if you put hope in one hand and poop in the other, which one weighs more...

Seeing the Wilpons finally succumbing to their ow sucky-ness gives hope for the Knicks and Jets

    Agreed.

Unfortunately, Dolan isn't going anywhere. Ever.
All he cares about is the Garden sell tickets, period..

This doesn't fit in this category but I found it interesting.
Looked up 2021 cap numbers and they are very good for the Jets. They are all based on 175m cap. Jets will have 85m tops in the league. They also will be able to carry over 32m from this year also tops in the league. That will give them a total of 117m. I am sure they will cut Anderson a savings of 8.3m with no cap hit. Crowder is due 10m with no cap hit. I don't want him cut or traded but a restructure could be done. Without Crowder the Jets would have 125.3m to spend. To compare I made a short list of what some of the teams will have in money for 2021 not including carry over.

    1st Jets 85m
    10th Dallas 34m
    20th Bills 5.5m
24th thru 32nd are over the cap
32nd team 95m over. I found that one hard to believe.
If these numbers are right none of the teams below 20 won't have a money to bid on any platers.
This came from Sportrac cap list.

Even more crazy, $16M are from Trumaine Johnson, Laveon, and Enunwa
This team will need to add a lot of players, so it’ll dry up really fast

Depends on the credibility of the next HC.

Also, NY is still NY, the biggest market for exposure in the US.
That will always be a draw for some.

Getting free agents to sign here is a problem to be sure. The Jets have to do some PR work and convince the players that the organization and team are a team on the rise. They would have to start with a new and competent coaching staff. One thing that will help is that only 12 teams will have cap room to be able to bid on the players. Many of those teams are also struggling such as the Jags. Money is a big fact when deciding where a player will sign. They may have to overpay a little but not as much as you would think IMO.
