Agreed. Fields would be so nice though.

To get Fields we probably can't finish any better than 3-13 Probably need to be 2-14. That'll make for the a loooooong season but absolutely worth it if we can get Fields. I really think he's going to have a monster season.

Ok so we know with Lance we can sit him at least a year right, maybe Fields? But does that mean we just sit Kirk that final year lol, or do we just cut him. Obviously Lawrence would start day 1 I would think.

Probably a good chance Fields can start either right away or early on. After this season he'll have at least 22 starts and as many as 25 if the Buckeyes make it to the national title game this year. Plus he played in parts of 12 games with Georgia as a freshman. Should be plenty of experience. Cutting Kirk would suck because we would be hit with a 41 million dollar cap hit but that's still better than paying him 76 million over the next 2 years.

wait, I thought we could cut him after 2021 without a huge hit....if not, I may need to be a Chiefs fan for a couple years (they're my AFC team anyway) because no Kirk, "I don't like that"
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

I think Lance will surprise you. There are people viewing him as better than Wentz.

Nope. His 2022 salary (45 million) becomes guaranteed on the 3rd day of the 2021 league year. Our options are trade him prior to that day and eat 20 million, cut him prior to that day and eat 41 million, or pay him 76 million over those 2 years.

I agree lol all I care about now is our rookies steadily improving and not looking like total **** in any games. Watching Dallas today Iíd be surprised if we didnít beat them so 1-15 is probably a long shot.

Kirk is better than Wentz, Wentz is one of the most overrated players in the league.
