probable cut - Lamarcus Joyner - 8.7M

possible cut (or restructure) - Richie Incognito - 6.35M, Gabe Jackson - 9.6M = 15.95M

If all of those players are cut (and very much replaceable, possibly with the exception of Gabe,) we save 60.3M in cap space. That's an insane amount of coin to get some serious talent on the defensive side of the ball in the offseason.

Joyner might be gone, but he's been making alot of tackles which is what the coaches expected of him. Williams, Icognito, and Brown are goners. All three are replaceable.

If abrams issue is coverage, but he’s a good tackler, could he be moved to LB? I’m guessing he’d need to add some weight, but could he be better suited for the position?

I agree he takes a lot of stick moreso then most but it’s in part because of him. He’s combative about his opinions on certain things. Mack at MLB, Jacobs busting, Bruce Campbell. There’s others. And once he latched onto an idea it’s everywhere in all threads. People should ease up no doubt but he does himself no favors either.

He’s young and basically a rookie. Let’s see how he develops before we start trying to move him.

Agree tho I wouldn’t bring back Harris. I don’t think we cut Brown either. His contract becomes reasonable after this year. He’s got value. We can get something for him.
