DJ LeMahieu is the first Yankee to win back-to-back Silver Slugger awards since Robinson Cano won four straight from 2010-2013

    I'd prefer they re-sign him.

Hence why that list very clearly says "Other non superstars" above Smith's name.

Actually Molitor was the superior hitter. 122 career wRC+ compared to Jeter's 119 career wRC+.

    Try again.

according to your comment since you think molitor is superior to jeter.. you would take molitor over jeter then you would be the only one..

that is certainly incorrect i would take dj back but not at the 20 million 4 year price and certainly not for 4 years regardless.... a 2 year contract is acceptable..dj is 33 next year at some point a player regresses as they get older...

What a dumb misreading of my post. All I said was that Molitor was a better hitter by a small amount.

No. That's not what he said. That's what you said. I see we have a new little, liar. A new little creator and spreader of falsehoods.

He suggested Molitor was the better hitter.
There is basis for that argument., unlike your arguments, which are foolish.

First of all DJ is this current Yankee era’s Paulie O’Neil. The problem is the salary structure. Paulie was a huge piece but he wasn’t Jeter or Bernie money. He was also older during the Dynasty run. But he was retained until he decided to call it quits after 2001. Nobody is paying DJ Mike Stanton money so he can be had. The Yankees need to wait and see where his value tops out at and let the other teams set it. Do not offer u til then. Yes they did the qualifying offer but that is just for the draft compensation and any team would have done the same. But his value to the Yankees is what Paulie was and he is in that same age for at least 4 more years. Again, top any offer. He is that important to the team.

The Yankees need a SS IMO. I would certainly go all in with Lindor. Cleveland was murdered financially in the 2020 season and told teams he is being traded. I think it is time to sell some parts of the farm. It will be painful it needs to happen.

Send Cleveland, Voit, Andujar, Schmidt, Garcia, Florial and Yajure.

I wouldn’t trade Torres like a Roberto Kelly was done for Paulie. Kelly was the Yankees best young player besides Bernie at the time and was starting like Torres was but Torres has way more upside.

Urshela, Lindor, Torres and DJ is my Infield with Mike Ford as the backup.

Lindor is only 26. Get him and pray he stays healthy.
