Couldn't have said it any better:

    Joey B@Joeyballz1

Yankees: Ok Pirates, we are prepared to offer you 3 of our top 5 prospects plus an MLB ready player.

Pirates: No! We want Gleyber, Judge and Dominguez to start the conversation!

Padres: We will give you 5 players we are going to release anyway.

    Pirates: Deal!

Its not about Gleyber Torres. Its about team. You can't fall in love with any one player. The reality is:

    1. Obtaining Castillo would be a huge impact for this team and put us right back into WS contention and he's controlled for another 3 years.

    2. With DJ locked in a second for the next several years, Torres has to be penciled in at SS and he's not a very good defensive SS. Lindor is certainly an upgrade and balances the line-up out more being a switch hitter/low strike out guy.

    3. For only slightly more, we would probably get more out of Carrasco than we will out of Kluber.

I mentioned Yates and Robertson a while ago. Imo, it's imperative that they be picked up, along with another 1-2 good but cheap middle relievers. Imo, the bullpen needs to be blown up. Guys like Green, Holder, Cessa, Lasagna, Ottavino are mop guys. Is anyone here confident seeing them come into high leverage situations again in this year's post season, if the yankees make it again? Even Chapman has shown a history of being unreliable now.

Yates is off the board as he signed with the blue jays.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Yates getting a 1 year deal worth 5-5.5 million.
