Honestly I am not disappointed they didn’t get lindor , I rather they use whatever trade chips they have for starting pitching . They didn’t really need lindor . I am only pissed that while the Padres and mets are improving big time , cashman is dumpster diving and is basically putting the whole off season on hold for one damned player .

Jorge, First time you mentioned you don't gamble based on personal belief. I respect it.

However last time we discussed this you claimed it was too early and you would get back to me once the off season was further along. I would think this is the NEWS you were waiting for and willing to bet on. Is it really gambling? We aren't exchanging money, only our word.

Again I don’t gamble in anyway . All I am asking for is an answer to a simple question . I am not looking to take anything away from anyone or to make myself seem any better than anyone .

I think the Mets have a long way to go, But their starting pitching, If healthy is far better. Offensively we are still better with or without DJ.... But, Their is no excuse to not have DJ.. And I like our BP better. But, I think Cohen is gonna be the next coming of George... Just hope the offsprings find some fire in their guts...

Lindor should have been a Yankee.

I honestly don’t think the Yankees offense is really that much better than the mets is , even with dj . It’s too strike out heavy and hr or nothing . And that mets rotation as it is right now can likely shut down the Yankees offense . Can the yanks rotation as it is after cole to the same ? The only edge the Yankees have on the mets is Chapman and Britton , and as we have seen in the playoffs , Chapman is very hittable. And if the rays trading snell and leaving the division up for grabs didn’t like a fire under hal. , nothing will

On paper yes. The game is played on grass. We shall see.

deGrom is one of the best arms in MLB. Stroman is a few steps behind, however he does add a level of stability to the front of New York’s rotation behind deGrom. Lindor will certainly be an advantage considering Stroman’s 58.7% groundball rate is the third highest among all qualified starters. Carrasco, if fully healed and healthy, is a good arm. But at 32 with health concerns I wouldn't put him on the same shelf as the other two.

Cole could compete head to head with any of Mets starters, Yanks problem is what follows Cole in rotation. Nothing earth shatterin here Jorge, we have been discussing the need for a solid #2 to slot behind Cole for over a year.

I guess we wait and see what Yanks get from Sevy, Monty and Garcia. Do Yankees add a top shelf arm?

I am not putting carrasco on the same level as degrom or stroman . I am saying he is a very good #3 starter and a lot better than the Yankees current #3 starter . Oh and you forgot the mets getting Thor back by this summer . But carrasco still makes the mets rotation a lot deeper than the Yankees . The most I can see the Yankees doing about their rotation is bringing back Tanaka and possibly adding kluber . While they would be an improvement to their rotation , neither are a top shelf starter
