Lindor and the Mets settle at $22.3M for 1 year. No mention of an extension.

Yanks came to terms with all arb players.
Here is the rest
Clint Frazier, Yanks agree: $2.1M
Jordan Montgomery, Yanks agree: $2.13M
Gio Urshela, Yanks agree: $4.65M
Luke Voit agrees at $4.7M
Chad Green and Yankees settle at $2.15M
I'll condense it all into one post.
Gleybey got 4 mil
Judge got 10.175 mil

Will say I'm happy they were able to get these deals done. DJ included. So now it they truly do have a cap on what they're willing to spend, they officially know how much room they have left.

With the latest arbitration numbers, I just looked and the Yankees are sitting at $175million in payroll for their 40men roster (The rookies make a combined amount of $6.5million). So they have around $35million to work with.
That's even more money than I thought they were gonna be under the luxury tax threshold.
$35million that's like 2 SPs and 1 decent reliever. But I doubt the Yankees will go above $200million because of Covid and the lack of money coming from tickets and items sold in the stadium. And since it was a 60 games season I doubt they got the same money from TV revenues than a regular season provides.

Brantley to the Yanks is really picking up some traction according to Stark. They supposedly have 20m left under the luxury tax I don't think they could get both Brantley and Kluber for that. If they are that serious about Brantley they must being looking to trade Clint for a starter. The only available starter that i've heard of anyways, worth giving up Frazier in a package for is Castillio. They could easily do Brantley & Castillio for less than 20m and maybe have a little left for a reliever....
I love the idea of Brantley lhed bat in that lineup, his swing is tailor made for YS but it would suck to lose Frazier. Then again if Frazier plus can bring back a TORP it makes alot of sense
there are still lots of reports going around that the Yanks are still the leaders for Kluber as well. Unless Hal loosens the purse strings i don't think its possible for them to sign Brantley, Kluber and trade Clint for a TORP. Maybe they got someone to take Otto plus?
@ Slick i saw that about Realmuto, that about half of what he was looking for when FA started, after the Mets passed on him his market sure dried up fast.
Speaking of the Mets sounds like they are getting Hand and are back in on Springer. Apparently after seeing the DJ deal Springer is considering taking a 7yr130m deal to lower his AAV. Just Lindor, Carrasco and Hand is one hell of an off season, plus Stroman, McCann and May, u add Springer to that team that would put them right up there with Padres, Braves and just a notch below the Dodgers. If they get Springer done that would be one of the best off seasons in recent memory
Cohen and Alderson are killing it
I just realized I made a mistake on the Yankees payroll and it's sitting indeed at $189million not $175million. Here the numbers for those interested:

thats less than what was expect for Torres, Judge, Urshela and Voit isn't it? i thought i saw estimates for Torres closer to 5m, Gio 6-7, Voit is saw as high as 9m and i thought Judge was looking at 12-13? Think they all took a page from DJ's book and took a little less so that the Yanks still had enough money to get what they are really going to need to compete?
If Shinobi's # are right, or even close they still have quit a bit of left for pitching. This could turn out better than expected
i was wrong about Torres he was estimated to get 3.5m, Gary got 6.35
Yanks are finalizing a deal with Kluber
The Yankees are finalizing a contract with free-agent right-hander Corey Kluber, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.com.

More to come.
