Who logs the most innings behind Cole?

Tough call but I go with kluber or Monty . At around 150 innings. I just don’t see tailon going a lot of innings simply because it’s been less than 2 years since his second TJ surgery

Barring injury, I'd go with Kluber. Otherwise, it's a total crapshoot. Assuming also that we don't make a last minute trade for a pitcher, I might pick Severino next, even with his late start or maybe Taillon, if he stays healthy - who knows? I don't think the kids will have the endurance to pitch more than 80 - 100 innings. Will German even be a starter? If so, he has a rubber arm and is a possibility, but hasn't pitched in a year.

That's why I went with Tallion! Lol. I figure one of the them will spend some time out of the rotation and Kluber will be the one.

I'm thinking either Tiallon or only, both are 2hrs plus since their TJS so their arms should be completely healed.

Hopefully we can get 130-150 from each of Kliber, Taillon and Monty well be in pretty good shape.

We ll probably need to get 70-100 each from German and García. I would Guess we'll get 50 plus innings from each of Schmidt, King and Nelson.

IMO Sevy will be back mid June. If he does come back around that time , he should be good for 80-100+

We could also possibly see one of our elite pitching specs like Gil, Medina or Vizciano pitch well enough to force themselves into the rotation in late Summer.

Imo well be fine depth wise as long as we stay reasonably healthy. If all 4 of our top guys stay healthy we should have ¹ of the better, if not the best rotation in the AL

I look at this:
Kluber, Tiallon and Sevy all were out most of last year with injuries (not that there was much to miss)
Monty is still a #4/5 at best but does do a nice job.... but with Boonie in charge... he'll be pulled after 5 nightly... because you can't burn up a BP if you don't get them in early...

German is my pick.. yes he didn't pitch last year... but unlike the trio of Kluber, Tiallon and Sevy.. He was NOT hurt.. he was out serving a suspension I personally disagree with... (personal life issues are no business of my employer... nor his!... but the Union caved due to the F'in media pressure.. not like baseball has ever had problems with this unlike the NFL.... end of rant!).. so his lack of being hurt means.. he should be really strong going into this season... he didn't even sit out any of 2019 to my knowledge with injury.. was only our best starter all year long... I roll my eyes every time I hear someone say that he needs to be on an innings limit.. WHY? The other guys WERE ALL HURT LAST YEAR... he wasn't.. He's got the freshest arm of anyone on the 40-man roster... and he's not 22 anymore either... He'll be fine...

But we still have Boonie... who needs to move to a team in the boonies... because he'd pull Cy Young in the 4th inning so he could burn up the pen... I swear he has such a quick hook, that he's trying to see if he can have his starters and his BP arms throw the same number of innings...

I am starting to think teams will carry 6 starters and a starter will be expected to give you 3 solid innings and you stack 2 of them per game so on a normal day, you get 6 and on a good day you maybe get 8. They would still pitch 6-8 innings every week, so the workload would be the same. It would also devalue pitchers and make them cheaper.
Then there will be 7 relievers. A few who can throw 2 and a few who throw 1.
Leo had commented on having guys pitch one inning each and the rotations going to that degree. I don't think it gets there but I can see an end to the prototypical starter. We are already seeing the demise.

Clown, I think part of the issue revolves around the anal inspired notion of a "quality" start, pitch at least six innings and allow three earned runs or fewer seems to be the "new normal." A starting pitcher has two jobs: to prevent runs and get outs. Imo the bar has been lowered and pitchers are pitching to it.

We have already witnessed the opener, clever attempt to manage a weak / injured rotation. I agree, as time goes on the value of a strong pen MAY out weigh a strong rotation. Imo the specialist out of the pen will garner more import than previously believed. We have seen the rise of the lefty specialist, long man, short man, middle innings guy, opener, closer ect.
