    So they're the gauntlet you have to go through to win? What does this say? That you're not good enough to win the world series if you can't beat the dodgers or that the dodgers are so good that the only teams that are good enough to beat them are world series champs?

    I think he meant it as the only team good enough to beat them was the eventual world series champ.

    Speculation, sure, but it could be true i guess.
