Today's FA Hope

Well, Stevie basically said he isn't going big so here's the best I could come up with for the FA period:

1. Sign Anthony Duclair-LW for 3 years $9M (or right around that figure)- guy is a fast skater, good scorer, has a bit of an abrasive side, and only 25 years old
2. Sign Matt Benning- RHD for 2 years $2.25M (again, right around that)- guy has some good experience and production until this year. Hoping for a cheap bounce back. Younger guy as well.
3. Sign Thomas Greiss- Goalie for 3 years $8.25M- I like him to get the majority but split times with Bernier. Love his German background and experience. He can man the post till a young guy takes over.

1` out of 3 ain't bad. I wouldn't mind them taking a shot at Duclair but at this point idk where they would stick him unless they are going to trade a someone.

Interesting to see where they will slot Ryan and Namestnikov into the line-up. Excited about the Troy Stecher signing.

I like what they've done this offseason. Cheaper veterans with something to prove could make for a big trade deadline next year for us.

I must say, Duclair at $1.7M for one year is a missed opportunity for Steve to add a talented young scorer. He could have paid low and gotten to see if Duclair fits this team long term. I really liked the idea of Duclair fitting in here.
