I mean...Iím actually all for signing Wong if the money is right.

But we know theyíre ďbrokeĒ so it doesnít really matter

If the union doesn't do something with the owners to reach some kind of fair compromise about salaries next year due to possible continued reduced team revenues then I could see this happening. It could happen on a massive scale too, and the FA market flooded. But it's a risk because we could have a vaccine administered to most of North America by opening day 2021.

I'm not sure union would do it because it could mean players locked into contracts losing out. Who knows, This will get interesting.

Not sure if this had been mentioned, but it would suck to lose Dan so quickly. I was excited about having him.

I didnít give an opinion. I stated a fact that they are making this claim without supporting it and that they have a record of lying about these things because it benefits them to do so. Thatís a fact. You keep talking about how much money they make. I didnít bring up anything related to that. This isnít about how much they make. The point was that if we are going to point out a claim they are making about finances then we should also point out that thereís no evidence that itís true and that they wonít provide any evidence.

    Itís not hard to understand.

Iím perfectly calm by the way, I just find all of your posts to be awful. If you want to take the owners word, go ahead. Iíd expect nothing else from you. Like I said, youíd need to be an idiot to take them at their word.
So don't respond... put me on ignore... do what you gotta do big message board bully...lol

I dont think about it one way or the other. it's none of my business. I don't ask my favorite burger joint to show me their financial records either. All I care about is can they make a good burger and do they keep it reasonably priced? If they fail at either of those, I'll move on.

Similarly, if the Cubs put a good product on the field and it is reasonably priced for me to attend/watch... then I'll continue to support. If not, I'll move on.

Astros placed closer Roberto Osuna on outright waivers, most likely making him a FA after he elects to become a free agent
