    Cubs get Trevor Williams.

Jesse also says we’re still looking for another starter. I would assume that means Arrieta

A pitcher gains at minimum 1.5 WAR once he leave the Pirates

Williams had a that really good second half a couple years ago, then fell off since. Not sure if there were health issues or what, but there is something inside there.

Williams is the right pick here. He's not great. But he's okay.

Kaplan stated Ricketts increased payroll budget which allowed flexibility. My guess is this happened after Lester signed with Washington.

Good to see them giving out major league contracts again. He can eat innings and if he bounces back maybe net a lottery ticket.

Trevor Williams sucks. He had a -1 WAR last year, led league in giving up HR. We could have bought a tee for $30 and been just as effective.

Do we want someone with a 5-6 ERA eating innings?

Because last year was wholly representative of players abilities. Why do we care if we trade our 600 OPS SS and 3B.

    Sucks.
Just imagine what the Cubs will give up to get Blake Snell in a couple of years. I'm thinking INT'L money and ptbnl.
    Screw sabermetics.
