Figured I'd start a fun thread that we can look back on when the offseason over to see who guessed right on any cubs trades.
pick any 5 cub and guess which team they could be traded too..

This is just for fun, so there no need to get into deep arguments or a 500 word essay over whether or not a person will be traded because of their value or whatnot [emoji6]

Not sure what to expect in terms of how far they will tear down but for the sake of this thread I’ll assume they totally blow it up. I don’t actually expect all these guys to go, but these seem like good fits if they do. I put a couple alternate fits in ().

Bryant - Nationals (Braves, Dodgers, Jays)
Contreras - Rays (Marlins, Dbacks, LAA)
Baez - Blue Jays (Dodgers, Mets)
Happ - Royals (Yankees, Astros, A’s)
Darvish - Padres (White Sox, Jays, Mets)
Schwarber - Oakland, maybe a non tender
Caratini - wherever Darvish goes
Kimbrel - Jays, or whoever will take on half his money. Mets maybe. I’m guessing he’s a cub until July.

Got the Darvish/Vic ones right.

Washington is still a good guess for KB. I still like Oakland for Schwarber after his NT.

I’d go Angels for Contreras today but Philly, Yankees, Marlins are very possible.
