Yes, I remember Ademan, and Eddy Martinez were the big names coming out of these signings

Lot of these guys are still just 21, 22 so still time for them, and this year obviously didn't help.

Yep, C.Morel, Howard, Davis, Nwogu, Amaya
That a group I'm keeping an eye on

Yup. We have some very intriguing names to keep an eye on down in the minors for sure.

We are a little blind now after a lost year, but hereís how Iíd split up the bats in the system:

Tier 1: top 100 types getting close to Mlb
    Davis, Amaya

Tier 2: huge upside but very far away
Howard, Hernandez (counting him as a Cub), Quintero

Tier 3: solid upside but needs a lot of work
    Strumpf, Nwogu, C. Morel, Roederer

Tier 4: lots of talent but very little sample size so far. Very far away.
Made, Hearn, Pinango, Pertuz, Verdugo, R Morel

Tier 5: close to Mlb but very low upside
    Giambrone, Rivas

Jason McLeod is potentially apart of the Angles GM search, per Jon Morosi.

The one year deal thing sounds smart until someone puts a long term 9 figure deal in front of you.

Yeah, but I think a long term deal is the obvious choice.

I donít think teams are willing to commit to a 1 year deal at around $37-40 mil from what Iíve read, seeing as he wants to maximize his salary in 1 year deal scenarios

She said she has been contacted about whether he'd do multi or not, so she just putting it out there that a 1 yr deal isnt a set thing..

I can see offering a 1 yr deal if you have an older vet team that a TOR starter could put you over the top, make a big run at it and if it not working out at the deadline, you can easily move him to a contender.
    But
Yea, most teams will be looking to tie him up for a few years

Itís really unlikely he signs a 1 year deal. Itís easy to say that years out from FA, but now heís in it and heís the top guy and teams will offer him big multi year deals.

Maybe heíll get a bunch of opt outs, but I really doubt he signs a straight 1 year deal.

He's got a long way to go with the swing and the miss right now. He's already nearing 30% in rookie ball (62 K's in 210 PA's), as an over ager. There's a lot of work to be done. Body wise he's an adult. Hopefully they can fix that, but I won't hold out a ton of hope. That said he remains an interesting lottery ticket.

Basically what Smith wrote, he needs to get his swings and misses down
