These kids were signed (wink wink) when they were 14.

The Mets didn't sign any of the top IFA because Brodie and the Wilpon don't like to spend money on guys who can actually help us in the future. They only thought of the present and only went after guys who would hurt us

These signings happened today. Mets have traditionally very active in this area. Francisco Alvarez, Freddy Valdezand, Mauricio and going back guys like Rosario. I think the Mets had over $5million to spend. I'm flabergasted. Totally shocked.

The signings happened today but were agreed upon way beforehand. How else you expect all these signings to have happened during a time of covid-19 when people aren't even traveling? You think these guys met over zoom?

A 1 year deal for Kluber is still a nice signing regardless of his age and the fact that he hasn't pitched much in 2 years. I would rather have him than Hand. I know the game is much more bullpen oriented but if Mets had signed him and Kluber is anything like he was in 2017 and 2018, that's a dynamite rotation.

Hand is definitely the safer bet. Sometimes i like taking fliers though. Maybe Taijuan Walker is that guy instead.

They go to an arbitration hearing and settle. They'll bring him back.
