Different circumstances. You don't get Lindor and Carrasco for that price unless there is a pandemic that makes teams drop dump payroll. Lindor would have cost more than what the Mets gave up for both of them in a year where fans are in full attendance.

You know it's the show that has him do this stuff right before they air it so it's not like he has time to sit with all his scouts and talk about each player they want to trade for or who they want to trade to get players. I don't wanna defend Duquette cause he made some horrible moves for us but doing things like that for the show is nothing like what he would do as a GM.

Also, I don’t think we are going all that hard after Springer but in this new era of Mets ownership he may actually come down on price to want to be here.
