So we agree itís nit typical. The Lakers are pretty stacked.

    Eh, no.

Not really. They're really good because of those 2 guys but stacked requires more.

By some people's logic, this hypothetical team wouldn't be considered stacked because it only has 2 stars...

PG: Fred VanVleet - Dejounte Murray
SG: Danny Green - Malcolm Brogdon
SF: Kawhi Leonard - Robert Covington - Otto Porter
PF: LeBron James - PJ Tucker - Marcus Morris
C: Maxi Kleber - Dwight Powell

This is just a "good" team. It's not stacked... Only has 2 stars...
2015 Bull's Mock Trade Game Championship Team

    San Antonio Spurs

PG: Chris Paul | Patty Mills | Jose Calderon
SG: Khris Middleton | J.J. Redick | Iman Shumpert
SF: DeMarre Carroll | P.J. Tucker | Anthony Morrow
PF: Tim Duncan | Carlos Boozer | Kyle O'Quinn
    C : Al Horford | Rudy Gobert

Without even looking at the actual salary numbers, though, this team's total salary probably comes close to $200M. You're taking the "two stars" logic to an extreme, dude. It's not JUST that the Lakers team has only two stars; it's that its supporting cast is pretty mediocre.

This team you've listed has multiple guys who could put up 15-20 every night and be considered solid No. 3s. The Lakers have no one closely resembling a true No. 3. Hell, I don't even know that the Lakers have a legitimate offensive No. 4 by most contending teams' standards. In fact, the only guy outside of Lebron and Davis boasting above average advanced stats across the board this postseason has been a well-past-his-prime Rajon freakin' Rondo.

Kuzma has been a huge disappointment, and guys like Dwight, McGee, KCP and Morris serve a purpose, but wouldn't start for most other contending teams. Lebron and Davis are what make the Lakers elite. If one of them went down, that's a sub-.500 basketball team easily.

I am not even sure if lebron legit wants to deal with it but unlike everyone else he has no choice and that is the difference.

he cant just sit back and focus on basketball when this **** happens.
Yes. Literally every single player has dealt with covid/bubble/Kobe etc. All of them.

    Iím/was a big Lebron hater.

Even I can see James has greatness in his sights. Still a lot to accomplish and the journey is the best part. Jaimeís is answering. Heís ďoldĒ and still dominating the stats and playing winning basketball. Championship basketball.

Even Jordan admitted that championship is the way to stand at the top.

I still donít like Lebron stanís.

I love lebron but 3 and 6 in the finals... he needs to win this year and next year push that number closer to 500. End up with 5 rings to match Magic and Kobe then were talking..

    Especially in the nba

A league that has had super teams since the 80s(and before iirc??).

KD is the only one that broke the league.

The heat could have, if the players were 5 years younger. Same thing with the Celtics and plenty of other teams.

    Spurs, Robinson, Duncan, Parker, ginobili
Lakers Shaq, Kobe, , and company
    Thunder durant harden Westbrook ibaka
    Heat James Wade bosh
    Celtics bird and company
Lakers magic Kareem worthy and company
Bulls mj pip Rodman grant and company throughout their run
    Pistons Billups Wallace rip prince

I'm probably missing a lot of teams and players. So take it easy on me lol

Its just how the nba works.

At least the goalpost has been shifted from "it only has 2 stars" to "it only has 2 stars and a mediocre bench" even though it's more than a mediocre supporting cast.

I mean, this "non-stacked" Lakers team were bored out of their f--king mind in game 1 that they wanted to cut themselves just to see if they could still feel in the 4th quarter. They made the Heat look like a JV high school basketball team tonight.

At least we are off this narrative that it's "only" 2 top 5 players. The "mediocre" supporting cast certainly took a big dump on the Heat tonight though.

The supporting cast isnít that good they just had a fluke shooting night. They played way out of character.

Despite everything going on in China LeBron was still able to be 1 assist away from a triple double tonight, very impressive.
