I agree. KD used free agency the way it was intended.

They're both talking about things that matter, like competitive value. Nobody cares that Wilt/KAJ/AD forced their way to LA, or that players have talked about playing together long before Miami's big-3.

Compared to what KD did, the NBA's history is far more alike. It took an incredible confluence of events to get him to join a record breaking team that had won the chip and was inches away from sealing their status as the greatest regular season of all-time. But the most prominent one, was having the kind of character to display such cowardice.

Kawhi will forever have my respect for not going to Bron and AD for easy titles ala KD. Hes already proven far more than KD has.

And make no mistake, the way free agency was intended to be used that year changed, not everyone had the same advantage in "intention". Theres a reason it will never happen again, even on the off chance we ever see such a cowardly superstar, the league learned from that mistake, even the players learned the mistake. Hell, even KD left after seeing how meaningless his time there was.

Clips are in win now mode so the next coach will have high expectations regardless.

It's not that simple. Its a team game and the Warriors are as if Shaq left the magic and joined the 72 win bulls team after losing to them

Also, Bosh/Wade were hardly at their peak.

Harden was a bench player in OKC and although great at the time, were not in their prime. And they actually drafted their players

Harden went to Houston the following year and was a star off the rip, he was a helluva player. Letís just forget about the Celtics who had 4 all stars right?

not really because wade and bosh were out of their primes... but even so lets say they are for arguments sake its mostly because of how great lebron is.... would KD/Wade/Bosh be on par with Klay/Curry/Bron? not in a million years
