Wild Card Round: Chicago White Sox @ Oakland Athletics | 9/29 & 9/30

Wild Card Round: Chicago White Sox @ Oakland Athletics
    Oakland Coliseum - Oakland, CA. | 9/29 & 9/30

    Tuesday September 29, 2020 @ 2:00pm CT on ESPN
Lucas Giolito, RHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Jesus Luzardo, LHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

    CHW: Lucas Giolito - 2020 Season 4-3, 3.48 ERA
The White Sox turned potential into production this season, combining exciting young players such as Giolito and rookie Luis Robert with solid veteran additions such as Yasmani Grandal and Dallas Keuchel. Chicago is in the postseason for the first time since 2008, although a 3-9 finish dropped the club from first in the division to a Wild Card berth.

    OAK: Jesús Luzardo - 2020 Season 3-2, 4.12 ERA
Now the Sox face an A’s team that will try to put the franchise’s recent postseason struggles to rest. Oakland won the AL West despite losing star third baseman Matt Chapman to a
season-ending injury, qualifying for its 11th postseason since 2000. The club lost the AL Wild Card Game in each of its past three trips and last made the AL Championship Series in 2006.

    Wednesday September 30, 2020 @ 2:00pm CT on ESPN
Dallas Keuchel, LHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA) vs. Chris Bassitt, RHP (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

    CHW: Dallas Keuchel - 2020 Season 6-2, 1.99 ERA
After battling through back spasms and back soreness, the veteran southpaw has allowed one run in 10 innings during his two starts since returning. Keuchel is 4-2 with a 3.47 ERA in his playoff history.
    OAK: Chis Bassitt - 2020 Season 5-2, 2.29 ERA
Bassitt will make his postseason debut coming off a superb regular-season campaign. The right-hander's 2.29 ERA ranked third among AL starters, finishing the month 3-0 with a 0.34 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 26-2/3 innings. Bassitt also has extra motivation, facing the team who drafted him in 2011.

I hope Eloy is healthy to DH this series in that big ballpark I do not want him near the outfield. Engel, Robert and Mazara left to right and this would put EE on the bench where he belongs.

This series could go either way but I say White Sox win this in 3 games...White Sox win Game 1, Athletics win Game 2 to tie the series and the deciding Game 3...White Sox win it

We have a pretty good Contact lineup. I'll take our lineup and staff over the A's today.

With YoYo and LouBob being our biggest K liabilities, that is a scary situation for A's pitching. Especially throwing a Lefty vs our Lefty Bashing lineup.

I could see him having the Joe Crede clutch playoff effect.
