Welp. The season is over. Who do you guys want to see the Giants target this off-season whether it's via free agency or trade? Notable free agents on this team are Gausman, Smyly, Watson, Samardzija, and Cahill.

Damn. Pretty weak FA class. I'd say the obvious areas in need of an upgrade are probably starting pitching, relief pitching, and CF depth that can hit RHP well to mix and match with Dubon (who was surprisingly solid in CF but hopefully sees more time in the infield next season).

A platoon partner for Longoria would be good as well. Dude is straight up dreadful vs. RHP and is a complete shell of his old self in general.

Only FA names that stand out to me are Marcell Ozuna, George Springer, Trevor Bauer, Kevin Gausman, Drew Smyly, Marcus Stroman, Trevor Rosenthal, Jake McGee, and Tony Watson.

Then as of 2022 (at least as of right now), Longoria and Flores will be the only non-arb/non-pre-arb guys on the payroll. Posey and Cueto have club options for $22MM each but no way those will be picked up. Flores has a club option for $3.5MM which should be a no-brainer to pick up.

Wouldn't mind giving Brantley a short term deal. Paxton is intriguing as well, but there's always the injury concern.

If its a full season next year the payroll for the 40 man is 99.3 Million they should be able to acquire some help and stay well below the tax.
