Need at least 3 of 4 here. Hopefully Pirates' pitching will cure our sick bats.

That a first I ever heard of something like this involving witnesses

I always thought a player goes to NY or however they do it now, the player gives their side and then they rule on it

Never heard of any other people going as witnesses

At this point, with this core, Iím ready to say ďthanks for the ringĒ and move on from all of them. Total rebuild. Iím not comfortable paying any of them what the market rate will be. Iím most disappointed in Kris though, very disappointed.

Yeah i am there as well . Perhaps i would sign Willy long term because of the improvements he has shown framing but he will be 30 when he reaches FA so not completely sure about him . Rizzo would take a longer deal that I would like considering his age as well .

Iím good with moving any player. Iíd struggle with a total rebuild. That would be long and messy. It would be really hard to get prospect value in trades. You arenít going to hit on every top draft pick again. Itís unlikely that you pull off a new Rizzo, Arrieta, Hendricks trades again. The stars aligned in this rebuild. The next one might look a lot more like the Phillies rebuild, or the Tigers, than the last Cubs rebuild.

I donít really want them them to blow it up. I want them to decide who they canít extend reasonably or who they donít want to extend and trade all those guys but keep others and spend (I know) to add to a new core.

    Interesting
He'll get Tomorrow, Sunday, and it would set him up for game 3 if needed

My only expectations for this series can top their "offensive" outpit of the Twins. Hey Cubs "offense" get me more than 2R/12 hits in 4 games against the Pirates and anything else will be gravy.
    Screw sabermetics.
