Trying to watch two atrocities at once— Mets and Jets. Giants lost by 20+ today. How can one city have so many ****** sports franchises?

Because they need depth so badly, they will have to offer arbitration and not just non tender him.

But seriously this year he showed he no longer is a major leaguer, maybe for some other team, but not the Mets. He needs to do an Oliver Perez and reinvent himself as a lefty out of the pen.

Look at the bright side guys this is the final game the Wilpons will terrorize us. It’s only fitting it ends in a blowout

    Matz is a goner IMO.

It is a real question whether they tender Matz a contract. His full-season salary would have been $5 million this year and he would get arbitration for 2021. He becomes a free agent in 2022.

With the scoreless 4th inning, Natz has gotten his ERA under 10.00!

Wow Lugo has a 5.15 ERA.

There is no way he starts next season.

Personally I'd rather see him in the bullpen. Guess it all depends on what happens in the off-season.

Well one good thing this weekend, my Mets 2020 yearbook arrived. Produced late this year to include COVID opening day and new schedule. Other than that it is another double bill bad day as the Mets getting crushed and Jets just being the Jets.
Hoping new season and new owner will shine brightly in the Mets next season.
Hopefully us fans can return opening day, so LETS GO METS in 2021.

before yesterdays game the mets needed the brewers to lose once and giants and phillies to lose twice and mets win out

and if it holds everything that needed to happen externally for the mets probably will happen and they lost all 3 of the games they needed to win

gonna be a long offseason to get over this disgrace this year

Alonso’s stats now convert to 43 homers and 94.5 ribbies in a full season. His average is up to .232, so he is a step up from a Dave Kingman season.

I never thought much of this year once Syndergaard was lost, did not think they would make it far even if they made it. Once Stroman opted out I was like whatever.

And am sure had it been a full season, that eventually he would of righted the ship a bit and gotten his numbers up to around .250 and hit closer to 50 homers.
