I am sure she has been (or will be) fully prepped by her handlers on how they want her to respond during the hearings to that statement... It should be interesting.

Roberts has made a lot of liberal votes especially recently, and Barret would be replacing Ginsburg, so as usual, you’re wrong.

Nope, it significantly flips the balance. Now you can bet anything Trump gets approved while before you had Roberts saying no to certain things.

So ... When Garland was nominated he would have taken a court that was essentially 4-4-1(Kennedy) to 5-3-1 which would then change the balance. If you want to consider Kennedy as a 5th conservative then it would still change the balance of the court.

The balance now is heavily favoring conservatives, then it was pretty much even. Then it would go from even to dominated by liberal judges. Now it would just reinforce the existing bias.

Why are you so bloody incapable of following a conversation? Every damn time... the point was showing the hypocrisy that came straight from the nominee herself... she said it's inappropriate to fill a SCOTUS vacancy in an election year when it would “dramatically flip the balance of power." Now she's accepting the nomination to do just that.

Because it's not hypocritical of her if you take in the full statement. That time it was dramatically flipping the balance of power and this time it isn't.

Now, it certainly is true that she was supporting then a situation that would support a conservative court staying conservative (rather than flipping to liberal) and that can certainly be seen as self serving. But it's not hypocritical.

This statement isn't any less wrong than it was yesterday when you posted it.

Do you acknowledge that in 2016 the court was balanced or slightly conservative?

Do you acknowledge that replacing a conservative judge with a liberal judge would result in the court going from balanced or slightly conservative to more liberal.

If no to either of those please explain?
