Right now itís a toss up for which team sucks worst Today ó Jets or Mets. Jets were leading, but Mets are catching up fast.

Now, itís officially a tie. Mets had all season to line up their pitching (on the rare occasions when it was decent) and hitting and couldnít do it. That will be the story of this COVID season.

Nothing worse than being a METS and JETS fan for over 50 years. I must be a masochist especially today when the Mets had nothing and the Jets with this awful coach just never show up. Making for a double loss almost simultaneously. Although technically Met game not officially over.

Guess whatever they fixed in Tampa Bay finally made him realize his potential.

Keep in mind that they were 2 games behind with 3 to play in 1999 but still made it to the post season.

But they now need help - behind at least two teams by 2.5 games with 7 to play.

The only way they make the playoffs now is if they go 6-1 or run out. Too much to leap frog and not enough time to do it.

One bad bit of new that Cohen mentioned today is that if they end up tied for the last spot, there is not a play-in game. And they lose most of the tiebreakers: First, head-to-head, they lose to the Phillies but beat Miami, and second is in-league record and they are apparently behind most of the other teams about that.

We are Atlanta's *****. Its like the 1990s all over again.

This team better pick a direction this offseason. Either fire everyone and blow it up which I dont think they have to do or become real players in FA again.

    Braves vs Mets

Season is over unless we can win out.

This team just hasnít shown they have the capability of doing that.

It helps when you surround your young phenom with playmakers. Other than the 80 year old Frank Gore, name one the Jets have.

Keep the talk to Mets talk please. If you want to discuss other sports, use the OT thread or that teams respective forum.

I thought he was the best QB in that draft, well clearly I was wrong but he is second best of that group.

Herbert was the guy I wanted the Giants to draft and he is looking good today vs the Chiefs.

The SF Giants also won big, so the Mets are 2.5 games behind three teams for the 2nd wild card spot with 7 games to play.

They are also 3 games behind the Phillies for the 1st Wildcard spot and 4 games behind Miami for 2nd place.

Tampa has clinched the playoffs but not the 1st seed, so they still have something to play for in the next three games but I do not think they will over-extend their pitchers and other players.
