I said 10-15. And Hill is 3rd string for a reason. He's in his prime. If he was good he would be playing somewhere. He couldn't stay healthy in college either. It's not a debate at all. If Payton has a chance of adding Stafford for a 4th round pick he's going to do it.
Per Seth Walder
This seems like a good way to stop the run.The Packers had the blocking advantage (more blockers than defenders in box) on 94% of Aaron Jones' rushes Sunday, the highest rate of his career, per NFL Next Gen Stats. The Lions didn't have 8+ men in the box on any of Jones' rushes Sunday.

Also, if you are going to bulk up to shut down the run you might want more than 7 bodies up front. I know they use some LB's as edge defenders but you are still really thin if anyone, like Nick Williams, gets hurt.

Why is the 90 million dollar DE not playing a majority of snap and why is he out snapped by roster filler in Romeo Okwara? Again, I get they use LB's as edge defenders by why, then, rush out to sign Trey if this is how you use the defense? Why is the I can't tackle, cover, or resist bad penalties safety playing more than Walker who was supposed to be our best safety?

Why is it “not even close”?
You guys watch Stafford every week. Why is it unfathomable that the guy being groomed to take over for Drew Brees is “not even close” to Stafford, who’s done nothing but accumulate meaningless volume stats in his disappointment of a 1/4 billion dollar career?
The funny part is Hill is about to turn 31![]()
Hill is a gimmick player nothing more in my opinion. Which is not to say he is a bad player because what he does works for the Saints evidently, if nothing else it is good roster usage to put him everywhere. However, the way he's used tells me his roster spot is not at QB: designed runs, special teams, flex out wide etc (64 carries, 30 targets/23 receptions, 713 special teams snaps compared to 441 on offense).
He's only thrown 14 passes in 3 years, completing 7 of them. No way is he getting that many reps in practice (taking away from Brees mind you) to offset the limited amount of real game time reps. If Hill were being groomed to be the next Saints QB why go out and sign Jameis Winston? By signing Jameis now you have to give him reps as well, taking more away from Taysom. If Jameis can cut down on the turnovers he would be a solid NFL QB. That's why he is in New Orleans to learn from Payton and Brees imo. He is the flyer of a rostered player that could be air apparent.
Ultimately I do not believe a guy who has had more special teams snaps than offensive snaps. and a majority of the plays designed for him had him carrying or catching the ball, would be on par with Stafford. I need to see him do it on the field and given his usage thus far, that suggests they don't really plan on QB'ing him.
