    Gase Hotseat Thread

    Paul Hembekides
    @PaulHembo

Jets under Adam Gase (17 games):

    93 punts
    33 touchdowns

That margin (-60) is the worst in the NFL over the last 2 seasons.

Gotta be happening before mid season.

He should have been fired last week if you talk to most Jet fans!

It was a terrible hire from the start.

Not sure what happened to him. As the OC for the Broncos, the dude was a genius. Then he just got really weird.

Crazy because alot of folks thought it was a bad hire. Almost everyone universally agreed that he probably should have been canned last year. Yet here he still is.

I know we all can under estimate how difficult some front office decisions are, like saying draft this guy is really easy from the couch. But sometimes the moves just seem super obvious to everyone but the front office. This seems like one of them. Maybe they're just sacrificial lamb-ing him and making other organizational decisions while letting him crash and burn.

Yeah Gase should be fired for sure. They won’t really know what they have with Darnold until they bring in somebody you can trust to develop him.

Probably because they hired Joe Douglas away from the Eagles on a 6 year deal. And Gase supported his hire after forcing Maccagnan out.

So Joe won't fire Gase unless there is heat on Joe... and Joe has one game in with his 2020 picks during COVID. So there is no way to say Joe is a bad GM.

He was even being hyped up as a HC after a year in Chicago.

Then Miami happened (one good year then terrible)

    Then....Jets still went for him.

It was a guy named Peyton Manning. I could be the offensive coordinator for Peyton Manning and I'd look good.

There is a similar thread on a much more popular site, one of the comments there said that the Jets are the Black Mirror Patriots.

Instead of trying to tell if BB is good or Brady is good or they are both good, you have to decide if Gase is bad, Darnold is bad, or both are bad.

Jets will fire Adam Gase with loss Thursday, report says | ‘He’s lost the locker room' and team is ‘calling big-time agents’
