Who will be the next top 5 players in the league in the next few years to come?

For me my next generation top 5 in order

    1- Giannis
    2- Doncic
    3- Zion Williamson
    4- Jokic
    5- Jayson Tatum

*Honorable mentions: Jamal Murray, Kristaps Porzingis, Donovan Mitchell, Embiid, Ingram

    * Honorable mentions round out the top 10 for next generation elite superstars easily

Yeah I pretty much agree. I would have put Bam, Trae Young and Devin Booker in the honorable mentions but good list.

Actually scratch that for a second. I do also think Anthony Davis should probably be in the top 3. He's only 27.

Is the start of something with Murray or just a run? Because before the playoffs it would have sounded silly to suggest him. Also, guys like Kawhi, AD, etc donít figure to fall out in the next 5 years. Add Booker, Bam, Simmons and Young to the discussion as well.

I cant take Trae seriously as a top 5 player in the league. I like him and hes fun to watch but hes never gonna be passable on defense. Not sure hes built to be a top guy on a contender.

    As a 21 year old he averaged 30ppg / 9apg / 4rpg.

Maybe he gets better? Let's not act like Nash and Curry were lockdown their 2nd year in the NBA at age 21.

Both of those guys are 2-3 inches taller and have 15-20 pounds in him.

i mean they had the 3rd worst record and let up 120PPG. Plenty of opportunity to pad the stat sheet. Hes tiny even compared to Nash and Curry

Also Embiid and Simmons get asterisks here in that if they each get on their own teams or Ben gets a tiny bit of range they can both easily be up there.

KAT (Towns) also has potential to be top 10 as well

How much did Nash weigh? How much does Trae weigh?

The team stinks and is all 21 year olds? I'm confused in a thread about 5 years from now why you are putting so much weight on his record on a terrible team in his 2nd year. You don't believe in the skills?
