I've never seen a baseball team foul off as many pitches as the Twins do, it's frustating to watch as a fan of the Sox. As far as Cease goes, he gets to 0-2/1-2 rather easily but then can't locate the plate. It seems like he's trying too hard to throw the perfect pitch to get the K and he sometimes buries the ball in the dirt or too far low and away. Maybe he'll learn from Giolito and Keuchel, just settle it down and throw your best pitch near the strike zone.

Well he tried that on his last pitch. Was out ahead in the count, and Grandal called a high heater. He dropped it middle middle for a game tying base hit. He will get better once he stops over throwing.

What a boost to our confidence if Dunning could throw a gem today!

This being the first time the Twins see Dunning should be a plus.

    Lineup is out today:

    Timmay
    YoYo
    Yasmani
    Abreu
    Eloy
    McCann
    LouBob
    Engel
    Madrigal

That's probably our best active roster. Would love seeing more McCann/Grandal/Eloy/Abreu DH'ing, instead of Edwin.

McCann/Grandal should DH until further notice. I do feel like Mazara is coming around a little bit but we can't wait any longer down this stretch and Engel has outplayed him

Dunnig might be pulled after 5 innings the way Renteria is managing this year. If gives up 2 ER if he looses still is a good start vs a quality Twins team.

I was more than happy with Renteria pulling Cease when he did yesterday. I feel like in a 162 game season, he'd let these young guys work through it, but in a 60 game season, every game matters and I had a gut feeling Cease's luck ran out at that point in the game. He worked though issues every inning. He had his shot to get out of it last night and threw a fast ball middle middle.

My problem is not making the defensive switch in the 9th. Just another obvious choice.

Dunning is looking great! He's had his lead off man issues, but other than that he's dominating them. I hope we let him go 7 here. Especially with the high stress situations our top pen guys went through last night.

In 2 playoff atmosphere games vs our division rival, we come out and punch them in the gut with a rookie and 2nd year pitcher!

    Minnesota Twins (30-18) vs. Chicago White Sox (30-16) | 9/14 - 9/17

**** if Keuchel is indeed back on Thursday we can get all 4 from the twinkies. Nipping then at the Dodger heels for the top record in all of baseball here. Pretty ****ing amazing for the expectations coming in.
