    The Off-Season Thread

    ...
“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

    Interesting breakdown.

If the Sixers don't hire MDA, I'm going to be disappointed.

He is already being linked to Philly. I can see it happening.

There's a possibility that a ton of guys could be gone next season:

Lowry, Gasol, FVV, Ibaka, Johnson, RHJ etc

    Lowrys signed tho.
If FVV and Ibaka come back we’re pretty much the same team. Possibly better from addition through subtraction. Like if Watson fills RHJ’s role but can actually hit a 3 and other internal growth.

Yeah I think it's time to just let Gasol go. If you can get Serge to sign a deal at 15 mil a year then you do it. Serge is more than capable of being the starting C.

Serge is already making 20mil and playing better than he ever has. I think 20mil for serge is the best we could ask for.

If Toronto is smart they would get rid of Gasol. Re sign FVV and Ibaka and extend Lowry. Johnson and RHJ you can let them walk.

Those are some optimistic salary figures he’s giving. We can pray.

Of note, with possible cap reduction, Siakam's max extension might be lower than anticipated.

But the % doesn't change though. It affects Siakam but it doesn't affect the team's payroll.
