I share this concern for sure but I think Noel could start games and then sit for the 4th. RHJ couldnít hit 3ís either and he got minutes. Advanced stats say he was more valuable than either of our 5ís last year. It could be nice to have a big that actually rebounds.

im curious what advanced stats are you referring to?

I've always been high on Noel because his advanced stats have always looked great and the eye test confirms it as well but his off court behaviour is concerning and his diminishing minutes underscore these concerns as well.

I have not been following the team since they shut things down in March. Why is the draft not until mid November? Youíd think teams would pretty much be set to draft as soon as the season ends.

I think they like to spread things out to keep the hype train rolling. Peaks and valleys.

The draft and free agency was delayed because they needed time to analyze the league's financial health and negotiate with the player's association, the new salary cap numbers for next season. Quite a few teams were unable to secure loans until recently so that probably complicates things a lot.

As far as who the Raptors should draft with the 29th pick:

RJ Hampton (if he slips to #29)
    Nico Mannion
    Tyler Bey
    Tre Jones
    Isaiah Joe

Raptors 2020-21 jerseys were apparently leaked already and seeing the new jerseys I can honestly say that I love their new look jerseys

I think it depends if they think FVV is going to leave. Dotson as a FVV replacement. totally different type of PG. shooting is terrible.

If he's still there when we pick, I actually think Grant Riller will be the steal of the draft.

Grant Riller on the Raptors works but Tre Jones for some reason would just fit on this Raptors team

Trade for the Raptors that could be pulled off

Toronto Raptors receive: Victor Oladipo and TJ Warren

Indiana Pacers receive: Fred Van Vleet, Norm Powell, OG Anunoby, 2 first round picks and Chris Boucher

Raptors new starting 5 in that case would look like:

    PG- Lowry
    SG- Oladipo
    SF- TJ Warren
    PF- Siakam
    C- Ibaka

Pacers would rebuild around Sabonis anyway but with Sabonis:

    PG- Van Vleet
    SG- Brogdon
    SF- Anunoby
    PF- Sabonis
    C- Myles Turner

That might be the craziest overpay in nba history lol. One year of a player we donít know will be as good as Fred and a dude who got released last year. We gave up 1/3rd of that for Kawhi and Green

I wouldnt deal FVV and Anunoby for Oladipo and Warren straight up, much less adding all those other assets.

Because of the contracts right? Because that could be a talent upgrade.
Hard to imagine Masai letting OG go.

    Contracts definitely matter.

OG is still on rookie scale next year and is already a big time impact defender. He is still improving offensively too. He is 3+ years younger than Siakam. Where was Siakam in his development at that stage?

Oladipo is a risk. Contract ends in a year and he hasn't exactly been the same guy coming back from injury. He might get back to it, but there isnt a guarantee.

Warren has blossomed into a really nice scorer. But so has FVV. FVV is also an excellent leader and defender.
