Love Baldy's breakdown of Cisco, if we could get him in the 2nd or third....

@CuseFootball @andrecisco7 who is looking for a ďball hawking safety?Ē Everyone right? Study the tape; none better at breaking on the ball than the Cisco Kid! Plug and Play. #orange #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/0nEIDbKJWw

Looking at some Greg Newsome film, how is this kid not rated higher? I would not be opposed to him at 17. He would be a perfect fit in the cover 3.

I think the key is if you can get guys who can play multiple positions that can cover and tackle really well it gives you so many options. It essentially means you donít have to substitute players, can make adjustments on the fly and you can keep offenses guessing. Unfortunately that was the issue with coach Guenthers defense they never adjusted and when they did teams knew how to attack us. They kept running the same things over and over. Williams would be a beast at any of the DB spots for me.

Iím not that big of a fan of multiple position players. I mean, if they are great at two positions, then thatís a plus. But most are better at one position. Look at Joseph. He can play SS but is better at FS. Has his development at FS suffered by teams playing him at SS more? And is it really better playing him at SS 40% of the time if heís just average there?

What Iíd really like is elite players who are physical and have speed. Especially at LB and S. If Micah parsons has a good football IQ, can cover TEs and rush the QB... then thatís who I want. If trill can cover a WR and take down a TE, then heíd be a great pick up.

    Ian Rapoport @RapSheet

Random quote from a top decision maker on the 2021 NFL Draft: ďThis is the worst defensive tackle draft Iíve ever seen.Ē There could still be one or even two in the first round. But the overall depth clearly isnít there.

Who here would like the idea of trading up from 17 to 6 and getting the OT from Oregon?

What are some of these draft specialists thinking? If you look at the mock drafts right after the season started itís waaay different now. And they havenít even played another game.

I can understand why leatherwood dropped from a first rounder to possibly a 3rd. He was manhandled by everyone who lined up across from him at the senior bowl.

Buuut at the end of the season we knew Lawrence was 1, fields was 2 and lance was 3, and wilson was 4(3 or 4 interchanged) and Mac Jones was a late 1st, early second. Now fields drops to the number 4 qb??? All that happened is he ran a 4.4 40. Heís the only qb to go to his 2 or 3rd option over 17 % of the time.

How did Wyatt Davis go from being a top 15 pick and being called the next big thing at og, to being a 3rd rounder????

Baron Browning is now being mocked in the second. Originally mocked in the 4th.

Dylan Moses was a first rounder last year and got punished for playing injured this year. If he would have opted out, he would have been a first rounder.

Moehrig is now being mocked in the early second???

Marvin Wilson is now being mocked in the fifth round.

    Lol

Don't forget, these are TV heads rankings. NFL teams rankings will be vastly different from talking heads rankings. Teams draft according to scheme, need, and future outlook.

I was listening to the radio last week and a scout from a team said that our 2nd round graded players could be another teams 4th round graded players, so only take these talking heads rankings with a grain of salt.

That 'one' for me personally is Washington's Levi Onwuzurike. Quickness, get off, power, played out of position and is Violent.

Love his game and he is much much stronger than his size. The power is explosive, his quickness off the snap on film is immense and he physically dominates the line of scrimmage. Could be a really special selection.

48th overall 2nd round for the Raiders would be such a good selection in my view. He is that guy we have been looking for inside.

Haha. I know. It is ridiculous, click bait and popularity points. Yes, it does happen every year.

There is a lot of click bait out there but also keep in mind its really not easy to watch 300 or so players and 3-5 full games of their tape to get an in-depth look at them. Sometimes they make initial opinions vs old tape or other players tape that includes said player but not specifically their tape. Then once they finally focus on said player they are able to get a more complete profile on a player which could change where they rank them. There is a reason why almost all draft guides arent out till mid April. Takes up to 3 to 4 months after the season is over to even complete their pre-draft process for all players they are grading. Difference between Media draft experts who often do all the work themselves versus like teams who may have 20 different scouts focusing on just specific regions of the US.
