    Chicago White Sox (26-15) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (13-26) | 9/08 & 9/09

Chicago White Sox (26-15) vs. Pittsburgh Pirates (13-26)
    PNC Park - Pittshburgh, PA. | 9/08 & 9/09

    Tuesday September 8, 2020 @ 6:05pm CT on NBCSN
Dylan Cease, RHP (5-2, 3.29 ERA) vs. Joe Musgrove, RHP (0-4, 6.62 ERA)

White Sox: Cease makes his ninth start of the season and sixth on the road when he faces the Pirates for the first time in his career. Cease is 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA in two career Interleague starts.
Pirates: Musgrove looked sharp in his return from the 10 day IL on Wednesday, striking out four and throwing 36 of his 46 pitches for strikes as he worked into the 4th inning. The Bucs have not won any of his four starts so far this season.

    Wednesday September 9, 2020 @ 6:05pm CT on NBCSN & FS1
TBD vs. JT Brubaker, RHP (1-0, 3.96 ERA)

Pirates: Brubaker took another step forward as he earned his first career win against the Cubs on Thursday. The righty struck out five in as many innings and seems to be further cementing a spot in the Bucs 2021 rotation.

Cease has got to step it up this game, his FIP is nearly double his ERA at 6.32. I would love to see seven strong innings out of him, he always loses his command in 1 or 2 innings. That brings his pitch count up and he leaves games early.

Agree..........He needs to learn to pitch to contact a bit...Save his arm, take stuff off his 4 seam. Would be nice if he could throw the 2 seam with movement.

Gio Gonzalez reinstated from the 10 day IL and Zach Burdi sent down.

So I am assuming that Gio starts tomorrow.

Agreed!! This is what makes me nervous for him to start in a postseason game. He constantly throws way to many pitches and is out in 5 innings. This lineup of Pittsburgh sucks, attack em early. But u couldn’t have said it better, he gotta step up.

Dane Dunning listed as Wednesday starter for the White Sox in today's White Sox notes. Nothing beyond the Pirates' series listed.

I'll settle for a split for this two game series.
