Not really, since most of them are about stars getting eliminated early in the playoffs, and considering we're in an unprecedented era of player movement. The threads could be changed to something about what the team does next. But a significant part of the fun on this site is the hypotheticals and arguments. If you don't like it, ignore it.

Yep lol Id say all things considered Toronto is pretty happy it at least got them a championship though.

Sure. I'm sure they're extremely happy they got a title out of it while also being disappointed Kawhi left. But that was definitely a gamble on their part that worked out (even if it didn't work out as long as they'd hoped).

    It won't be good enough.

If they trade him this offseason, he will end up in GS. If not, GS aims for Beal & gets him.
Im not sure Beal fits unless you push Klay to SF. Hes not good enough defensively. I guess it depends on what theyd have to offer but I doubt theyd give up Wiggins, n2 and a future.

Depends on if he resigns or not. Im not sure they give up the farm for 1 year.

Giannis won't go to Toronto so all y'all Raptors fans can stop that nonsense...I'll even bet my cases of Dew that he doesn't go to the Raptors

We all knew he was going to leave for LA. It was obvious. All we could hope for was a ship run and he delivered. Cant ask for more. Still a fan and hope he gets another ship with the clippers

Would be cool to see Kawhi win finals mvp with three different teams. Id have to look it up but I think hed be the first

Yeah if they did that they would fast track their rebuild with a ton of assets and quality young players

Kawhi also spent 1 year in Toronto. Not saying giannis wouldn't leave, but it's a drastically different situation between giannis spending his career to date in Milwaukee vs kawhi spending a year as a mercenary, when it was very clear that was going to be the case.

    Agreed...

The BEST team for him would be Dallas, BUT does that fit his ideal team?

He's a tough guy & might want a team that embodies toughness. Up to him.

Agreed. Pat will wait it out. Bam & Herro are the building blocks.

Pat wouldn't care about the draft picks if we had them; buts those rotational players on their cheap contracts are the key reason why a star player would want to sign with Miami.

If Giannis gets traded it will be to either GS or 76ers (outside shot, Denver, they have assets as well).

Nets, 76ers & HEAT will have something to say about that.

Beal is awesome and he does play defense. heck the reports, GS is gunning for him this upcoming off season. I am pretty sure they will aim for Giannis 1st; but if the Bucks don't want to deal, then I can see them getting Beal pretty easy.

I just thought about this. The Bucks could offer to take Wall contract (just like it was reported that Miami wanted to do, to get their hands on Beal).

    Bucks: Beal, Wall

Wiz: Middleton, DiVincenzo, 3 1st rd picks, Bledsoe, and the contracts it will take to get the deal done.

How many players have won a championship with 3 different teams even? I imagine the list has to be very small.

Sure the circumstances are different. But the main reason they're different and Kawhi only spent 1 year in Toronto is because he completely bailed on the initial team he was on and won a championship with for his first 7 seasons. So that part is comparable.

No player has ever won FMVP with 3 teams
