I would have mixed emotions about this. My brain knows it's best to trade him, but my heart still wants to hold on.

If we could get rid of Seabrook with minimal salary retention that would be amazing.

I wonder if this would be done in the expansion draft- didnít we send someone to Vegas with a draft pick for some cap relief? Or was that someone else?

If anyone is subscribed to The Athletic, Pierre LeBrun wrote an article about Seabrook and some of the things heís endured during the last couple of years.

Itís a really good article and puts some things into perspective with what heís dealt with. Hopefully the surgeries gives him an extra spring and he can actually not be an albatross with his contract.

Can you post anything from the Atlantic article?

Stan Bowman killed the forum. Another reason. Fire Stan.

I think my Stan disappointment has been well documented here. I still think they are god-awful at handling contracts and trades. Now I have to give him some credit, they are amazing at finding overseas talent. I thought we would be Detroit bad this year, but the foreign talent they find has just outweighed everything this year.

Lankinen being a surprise has helped with that, but he was another just straight foreign signing. It'd be nice if Stan got some help with contract negotiations and trading, because we seem to lose every single trade and extension on value.

I'm really happy all these foreign signings are finding quick success here. It might keep us out of a real rebuild. Other guys overseas are going to see what the Hawks are doing and how they integrate quickly. It only makes us more attractive for overseas talent.

Good post, I agree with everything said. Credit has to go where credit is due and thats Stans foreign policy.. He does have nack for that.
