    Russell Westbrook.

Back then, to me, it made sense. Now, not so much. IMO, AKME should now be focused on a pg and as many 2 way players as they can get.

They already fixed our biggest need. Now on to the pg position and then players to hide Zach and Vuc shortcomings on defense.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I would love Russ. He's a tough player, which we could use more of, and he's a baller. Period. Ballers win games. Seems like he doesn't play great with other stars at times, but Harden and KD are pretty egotistical, give me the ball guys too. Not a great defender, but average at least, and is an elite driver and rebounder, and a good passer. Keep Pat Will at SF, add a defensive PF and this team would be TOUGH to beat.

As a long time Bulls fan, think he's a Chicago type of player, aggressive and fearless. We haven't seen a lot of those lately.

Hard pass on West and how would that even get done now? He's making 44+ million a season.

As Rndy said, 44+ a year. There's no chance he would be here next year.

It amazes me that anyone who watches basketball would call Russ a winner. The only thing he wins is the stat line. He shows no ability to adapt his game to the team he's on. Every team he's on gets worse as his role increases because he's never learned how to win. Congrats on the triple doubles.

Saying he doesn't play well with stars is crazy. Stars win titles and he's had opportunities in 2 franchises as the 2nd piece. They both underachieved greatly. 33 year old Westbrook doesn't play well with stars, lets fit his 44 million in and hope.

I'd totally take him at a discount when his contract is over. My prediction for him is the greatest 6th man in history when his contract expires. He's really an abject failure as a 1st/2nd man on a team.

Lots of stars have never won titles, that's not the measure of a player. Barkley, Malone, Stockton never won rings. Durant only won a title with the super Warriors. Lebron never won a ring without two All-Stars. With KD, they had the 73-9 Warriors down 3-1. Don't act like Russ hasn't been on winners and contributed greatly to winning. Are the Wizards worse now? He's one of the most polarizing players in sports, people either love him or hate him, but to say he's not hugely impactful is insulting. Most of the rings won the last 10 years have been either a Lebron team or the Warriors, there are a lot of really great players who haven't come close to one, like CP3,Dame Lillard, Giannis and Harden. The other STAR he played with, Harden, was a horrible fit, another on the ball guard who needs the ball in his hands. Kawhi has two too, if you weren't on those teams, you weren't getting a ring.

And how can you look at the salaries on the Nets and Warriors and say his $44 mill means he could never be here? Bulls have two big money players, neither is making what the big 3 in NJ or GS is making. Not to mention both teams have fourth players making 10 mill or more.

Find it hard to argue that Kyrie or Lowry are better than Westbrook, two star PG's that have recently won rings. Think if Russ is one either of those teams, he has a ring.

If Sac-town came calling asking to swap Fox for Lavine, would ya'll do it? i think itwould be a rare trade that benefits both.

I like Fox, but there's no way I make that trade.

Fox is a dawg and he's 23. I would strongly consider it. I think he's a smarter basketball player then Lavine too.

Right. Take into account too that Lavine can bolt in summer 2022. Fox is locked into a contract.

Id take Westbrook and his triple double on this team over Sato and Coby any day of the week. Money is a different issue but on talent alone yes.

Fox's last 2 months have been kinda crazy for a 23 year old.

    29.3/6.6/3.6/1.6 52.2/29.8/76.9 2.7 TPG
    28.4/7.4/4.3/2.2 46.7/28.6/73.7 2.7 TPG

3 point and FT shooting are his big weaknesses. Driving and scoring is probably his biggest strength.

I just don't know if I see the Kings wanting to trade Fox. Now lets say the Kings won the lottery. Would they or us trade Lavine for Haliburton and that 1st, and we end up with Haliburton/Cunningham and they end up with Fox/Lavine?

I wouldn't be mad if we started semi fresh with Haliburton/Cunningham/Pat as our core. That's a young group that I think can grow into huge things.

They aren't trading Haliburton. Only reason i brought up Fox is because i saw a report of him being frustrated by all of the losing. Then i saw a few Kings fans say they would want a star for star type trade instead of getting another pick for them to mess up with.

I thought it was one of those rare trades that both teams should be better as a result.
