    2020 Offseason Trades/FA/Acquisitions Discussion

All but head coaching and draft discussion

I'll take anything. I think all of LaVine/Markkanen/White/Carter have All Star potential

Do any of them have "the guy" potential though? Not saying LeBron/Kawhi/Giannis level but maybe more like Lillard/PG/CP3/Agent 0 level?

Lavine does IMO. He has that killer instinct you just cant teach in closing minutes. White might as well. Carter is probably not and unless Lauri can be coached to be more than a spot up shooter and pick and pop guy. honestly without a new coach I think its time to give up on him because we know how Boylen will use him.

I think it comes down to more than just star power though. You may disagree and obviously in not saying having a superstar Hurts. But i have seen countless teams with stars like the pelicans never do anything. and plenty of teams without superstars do plenty. (Hawks.... Celtics for years and I think you could even make an argument that tatum isnt a superstar)

At this point. I honestly dont care about star power. Id be happy feilding a well coached team that can at least win some games first.

Watching the Nuggets play the lakers right now its clear what a well coaches team can do. **** look at jimmy and the heat and how that roster isnt exactly the most tallented But gets the job done. Or the Thunder unless you want to argue that CP3 is still a superstar.

But this team has to be coached well. Its that simple.

Im just not hopeful at this point that Arturas can build this roster with the handcuffs he has. I do Like what Arturas seems to like matching our personel and his draft history with denver..... But without the coach to implement the style he wants IDK what to expect.

Underwhelmed by the list. I like Van Vleet, Bertans, and Kanter but I don't know enough about where the bulls are going to know if any of them is worth trying for.

Anyone on the 76ers look interesting to anyone? They seem ready to blow it up almost. Embid or Harris Maybe for me. I know some may like Simmons but I just dont want a Wing who can not shoot. Unless you play him at the 4. in which case you really have to build around him.

IF so. who is on the table? everyone. Picks.

You canít build around embiid. Too many injury concerns. The bulls already have quite a few issues with injuries. They need an Ironman. I like harris. Not sure what Iíd be willing to give up though. Heís not a foundational player.

Not sure I'd want anything from the 6ers. Playing Simmons as the point 4 is intriguing and maybe this front office would surround him with shooters.

Don't want to touch Embid with his injuries and I don't really think he's a winning player despite his stats.

I like Harris but that money is stupid. Don't think I would trade Otto straight up and take that deal. I like Otto if he's healthy.

Don't really expect any big moves, think the new office would want to see what is here at least for half a season with a decent coach.

I dont buy this Mark Jackson is this great coach who just isnt being given a chance. The idea he was damned and determined to play Draymond at the 3. and refused to adapt to the current NBA. People can praise him all they want. But draymond may never get a real shot under him And without Dray how many rings do they really win?

Probably 0 rings without him. They don't win in 2015 without him (had to go to 6 games to beat Bron and a dleague team), then they definitely don't win in 2016 , and KD never goes there

Draymond Green was drafted in 2012. Kerr took over in 2014. He got better, lol! Warriors won 51 games in the West last year Mark Jackson coached the Warriors. Steve Kerr didn't make the Warriors, they got more chemistry with their third best player, you can't just say a 51 win team wouldn't have been better and maybe won in 2015 against Lebron and the guys, lmao!! They also added Iguodola in 2013, Jacksons last season, who was key part of those championship runs.

there are known claims that jackson was unwilling to change anything.... stuborn as hell. and wanted to play dray at the 3 where he would never stick in the nba. If dray is still at the 3 he is off the bench because jackson wants a typical nba lineup. they are not the same team.

Dray became a play making 4 under Kerr. Jackson wanted him to be something he was not going to succeed at. Its a testimate that coaching and utilization of players is hugely important. **** we have seen Lauri get wasted as a jump shooter for 2 years and we all know he is capable of more than pick and pops. Wendel has become a glorified screener.

You can continue to praise Jackson if you want. I just dont buy it. If u want to give Jackson credit for Everything. Cant u argue that Vinny del Negro was partially responsible for our runs.

And like you say. they add iggy. They have Barnes. Draymond is probably a bench player with no minutes under Jackson cause he was dead set on playing him at the 3.

Like you said, they have Barnes and Iggy, so Draymond still probably plays the 4. They had David Lee avg 18 a game the last year Jackson coached, that's why Draymond couldn't get minutes. Lee got older, Draymond took his minutes and he probably would have under Jackson too. He was only in his second year when Jackson got fired, makes sense he gets more minutes his third one. If Kerr was coaching that second year, you can't be certain 2nd year Draymond beats out 18 pts a game Lee.
