Just realized, the Rockets had traded all their picks and pick swaps to the Thunder, so this was an even bigger get for them. They needed to rebuild anyway, Harden and Westbrook were going nowhere. And they still have two All-Stars.

They should have got Simmons, but they were asking for too much with him and he's not a good fit next to Wall, but they could have flipped Wall out for a wing and some picks and still had a young All-Star. Also would have taken Levert over Oladipo, smaller contract healthier, and Oladipo's a free agent this summer.

Alleged late 1st's or not, the Rockets were in NBA Hell with a polarizing egomaniac, and no path to a championship, and now they are on the mend. They needed a restart, and they got it. Only problem was it was a year and a Westbrook trade late.

For as bad as the Harden issues were, they should feel lucky to get all those picks and Oladipo for him. Hell they might not even completely suck this year. Wall/Dipo/Wood/Tucker/Gordon might be able to win some games.

If Wall and Oladipo stay healthy, they'll win a lot of games. John Wall is an elite passer with something to prove, and he and Oladipo are elite drivers who will draw double teams, and the whole Houston team shoots threes, lol. The defense should be way better, Wall/Oladipo vs Westbrook/Harden and they added Exum and Kurocs for depth. You could do way worse than a Wall/Oladipo back court on a team of 3 point shooters. And they'll have cap space if they don't re-sign Oladipo next year.

There are stars drafted outside the lottery every year, and you just got 6 shots, plus your own picks in 3 of those years. They're useful for trade capital too, and they already have Wall and got Oladipo out of the deal. No way Harden, Kyrie, and Durant all stick for more than three years, and they will be the most over paid 3 piece in the league in 4 years if they keep them all. Depending on where the Rockets draft at the three years they have two picks, they may be able to move up to top 5-10 combining the two picks. Getting Oladipo really helps too, you're set at PG and SG for awhile.

Honestly, does anyone expect Kyrie and Harden to work? Both asked to be traded from ball dominant co-stars. Kyrie wants to be number 1, now he's Alfred, not even Robin, lol. Two years, max.

Worse, the Nets ALREADY had enough talent to win a championship, and sold their depth and their future, Jarret Allen, Levert, and all those picks. For what???? Having two top 10 scorers wasn't enough?
The cavs pick is via Milwaukee so itíll be late. Rockets still made out well in this deal

Would definitely be interested in Fox. Not sure why the Kings would move him though. Haliburton looks great, but he fits pretty well next to Fox IMO.
