What about the development of Pat and picking up a legit C? I understand that initially weíll be the blazers 2.0 but next year and beyond we have a foundation to build upon

My main focus on trading would be to add a 1st round pick, and draft best available and Corey Kispert with our 2 picks. That dude is shooting 49.5% on 6+ 3's per game. That's disgustingly good. If we could find a PG, you could start Kispert and Pat at the 3/4. Kispert looks like a better Duncan Robinson, and he's pretty good in the NBA.

I feel like Thad has to be worth a 1st for a team trying to win. Lauri could definitely net us a 1st. I don't see either guys as part of the future.

    Lonzo propaganda warning.

Seriously wonder what the real market is for him. Couple more games like this and it shoots way back up.

I completely get that but has that worked out for the blazers at all because you can say thatís the same thing they have been trying to get to put them over the top so I think itís easier said than done. Thatís why I feel like trying to keep lauri or Coby in that trade is key, mainly lauri, with dame and Zach abilities to shoot the ball and drive to the hole at Will I feel like a legit stretch pf or c who is a threat all the way out to the 3 point line and play inside becomes extremely valueable and thatís what the blazers are actually missing, nurkic, Kanter or whiteside are or werenít any of those things for them and then you can sign a good pf and or if you think pat is good enough or more suited for pf then you pursue a wing

Why I keep saying buy low. You never get best value when a player is playing to his potential, that's the worst time to buy. If you can find those under valued players, who are improving and may improve more in a better situation, that's when you win the trade game. Nobody said he's Chris Paul, but he can be an effective young NBA starter for a reasonable price. Who is 6'7" and plays defense, extremely rare among NBA point guards. If I'm the GM, I'm scouring the league for under performing players who could be value adds, like San Antonio does. Most consistent team of the last few decades.

Iím going on one of my soap boxes again. Iím suggesting that the bulls go for Russ. I know that most donít like his game but I just believe he brings the things this team lacks. He has an edge, competitive drive, play making ability and some explosiveness. He takes some questionable shots at times but I believe his strengths would outweigh his weaknesses. If we could buy low then I believe we should go for it. A trade of Coby&OPJ should be enough. Maybe a future draft pick top 10 protected.

The Pelicans, if they are intending to move Lonzo, likely wouldn't move him right now anyway. His value was super low and they don't lose anything by holding him another month and seeing if he improves his value. There are probably other guys you could get earlier, but there's no reason to sell Lonzo at an all-time low value this far before the deadline.

Dude, he's on one of the worst contracts in the NBA. He's 32 year old PG who can't shoot and relies on athleticism but has knee and leg issues. He's also just not a winner anywhere he goes. He doesn't just take questionable shots, he can't shoot, his EFG is far below average. Adds a solid 5 turnovers per game and we have to take 45 million the next 2 years to watch him age even worse. You're committing to maybe being a bottom playoff team for 2 years because this caps us out of anything meaningful.

I wouldn't trade anything for him. Trading our best trade deadline asset and a 21 year old PG with a lot of potential is a no. Adding a pick would be even crazier. We should be getting multiple picks to take that contract.

Maybe Rubio was Kyben, but you definitely didn't mind keeping Shaq or Dunn. And you also Bring up Dinwiddie. Hate to break it to you, but ball is at 34% now on the season.

I loved Rubio coming here. Still maintain that we need that style of player for all these young guys though. a CP3..... a Rubio. A Lonzo all would help stabalize and create for the numerous play makers we have.
