John Keim dug up that Guice was removed completely from the draft board of the Panthers in 2018, so it appears Rivera has an ax to grind with him potentially. One thing that concerns me is how much power a mediocre head coach has gotten over a VERY short amount of time.
One reported (canít remember who) said that upwards of 15+ teams took Guice off their boards due to behavior issues.

A losing record in the past four seasons should not grant someone the powers of football coach, in charge of the entire front office, in charge of some business operations (including rebranding the team) as well as being Snyder's BFF. But that last reason is why we are where we are.

Honestly it's probably the reason he chose you guys before the rest of the league started looking. Nobody else would give him control because he struggled to do his HC job in Carolina at times, much less worry about other things. I think his best case as a coach is taking DC duties and getting a strong OC, and it appears he won't be doing either of those things.

I never heard the number, but I remember plenty of rumblings of off the field stuff with him. Add in the injury history and he seems like a good example guy.

With new regimes, that's kind of how it goes. Everyone on the team gets a chance, regardless of history. You're not cutting guys who have been with for something they did in the past. Tell them this is their chance. You **** up moving forward and you're done.

I still can't believe Snyder went with Rivera over hiring Rick Smith as GM. He had meetings with both, where they both gave their organizational plans but whatever group Snyder consulted with said to go with the head coach-centered approach, which has ballooned to include business operations stuff as well.

This is why Snyder will never have sustained success in the NFL.

Calling them "football team" is growing on me. I actually like that more than any of the suggested new names

I have an old school R with the feathers sticker on my cars rear window... i need to scrape it off and just get the words "football team" in the most generic font to replace it with
